Henry made individual apple crisp for last night's dessert. Here is a little picture tutorial he wanted to share with other toddlers... ;)
First, ask your momma to get you 4 oven safe single serve dishes along with two apples...
After your momma washes the apples, watch her carefully as she takes the peeling off, slices & dices the apples...
It is always a good idea to follow behind your mom making sure she gets all the peeling off the apple...
Next, divide the apple slices into your 4 individual dishes..
Add water and a little cinnamon to each one
Next, in a small bowl mix your oats, flour, brown sugar and butter together...
It's a good idea to taste a sample to make sure everything is going to be yummy...
Next, have your mom add the topping to your dishes and put in a preheated 3 75 degree oven for about 20 minutes (you should stand back because it is HOT & DANGEROUS!)
HOT & DANGEROUS!
Once your mom has put the dishes in the oven, it's fun to watch the progress with the oven light on!
Sometimes helping out & putting dishes away helps the time to pass quickly while waiting!
Ta-Da!
Serve for dessert
:)

Henry you may have a future in the kitchen helping momma and poppa more once your little sister or brother comes. Grace, how cute. You girls sure show how important it is to enjoy EVERY moment with your little ones. Your apple delights sure look yummy.
mr. henry those look delicious!
the next food network star...? ;-)
Maybe he could be the next food network star! ha! I couldn't believe how well he stood on the step stool and watched each step..I thought for sure he'd lose interest or get frustrated but he really did do all the work that didn't involve cutting or the hot oven!
