He is as big as a {Pineapple}

(So, poor H looks so pitiful because he's had a fever for two days. He seems so much better today after not waking up until 10:30!! So, it's a total pajama day for him! ;)).
(They are saying, cheeeeese!)
Had a great appt this morning and baby boy is measuring right on track and sounds fabulous! Running out of room and kicks have turned into squirms! :)

These are dangerous!

Kit loves peanut butter. Peanut buter & chocolate even more! I made these puppies on Wednesday and they are dangerously good!! I made a chocolate cupcake from scratch and unfortunately, I can't pull the link up that I used. I'll come back and update once I can!
But, the frosting, oh the frosting MADE these cupcakes!!!
Peanut Butter Frosting.
Dangerously good!

for the frosting:
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar (depending on what consistency you want)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (or more if needed)
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the butter and peanut butter with a paddle attachment until creamy and smooth.  Add 3 cups of the powdered sugar and beat on low to incorporate.  Add the milk and beat on medium-high until light and fluffy.  Check for taste and consistency, adding more sugar to thicken the frosting for spreading on the cakes with a spatula, or thinning it with a little more milk if needed to achieve a loose enough consistency to pipe the frosting onto the cakes.  You make the call! Porter's {aka BIG BROTHER} vintage red room {Sneak Peek}...

Here are some quick pictures of Porter's new room! I really think this turned out pretty cute! When first thinking about his room, I thought I'd bring his name cards over from the nursery and a couple of pictures, and we'd just move him in. But, let's be honest. Yes, they are both boys but they are very different so I felt like I needed to make the room different! I LOVE the way this turned out. There is absolutely no cost involved in this room. Every single thing we already had (except for his pillow!). It's pretty much his first birthday theme (which of course I adored) and has all things vintage-y (is that a word?) red in it....red airplane, red wagon, red lanterns. I hung his newborn onesie and blue checked hat from his first birthday with frames I already had. And, like I wrote yesterday...I'll have to do more pictures later BUT I have a {liTTle brother} room to work on right now ;)

Henry's {aka BIGGEST BROTHER} tractor room {Sneak Peek}...

Okay, here are some quick pictures walking around Henry's new room! I think it has come together quite nicely! But, it really doesn't matter what Kit or I think because to one little boy this room is AWESOME. He tells me multiple days a day how proud he is of me for putting together his new room and that it's very, very cool :). I worked in here a lot this morning so I think we might be good to go for him to sleep in it tonight...? We'll see.
He would be THRILLED!
Still waiting on some pictures to arrive for his collage wall and I need Kit's help hanging one more thing but here it is...
super simple. but one 3 year old is VERY excited about it :)
I'll have to do more pictures later BUT... I have another {BIG BROTHER} room to work on right now :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We started off our day a little green...

...but it got rave reviews.

It's a Saturday play-the-day-away here.

And boy have the boys had some summertime fun. It's 81 & gorgeous!

It's a project day for Kit & I and we're having fun, too! Well at least I am crossing things off the to do list! ;)

What we are up...

Goodness gracious the days just seem to be flying by! We are most definitely enjoying the gorgeous weather we've been having! And we are also up to projects. Just lots of little projects. Operation: switch the Cadwallader boys is about ready to start so my whole upstairs is in piles. We no longer have a guest room and are moving H into the guest room. The only hints I can offer right now is he told me he wanted a "tractor room" (which I sat a tractor on the night stand and he told me it's just perfect! LOL) and another hint I can offer is this...

Yes, this is the exact toddler quilt he already has now (which is soon to be Porter's!) but I searched high and low and to me, this is the perfect little boys quilt. So Classic. So many colors to pull from. I am SO not a little kid "theme" person so I think the room will have a little vintage/ classic feel and be a little more grown up for him. He is THRILLED.

Porter is READY to move out of the crib. He pretty much plays in Henry's room (the toddler bed room/airplane room...it's all confusing! LOL) and runs and lays on there any chance he can. I know he'll get the hang of it and do great....it's just pulling the trigger! So, I'm going to pull stuff that is his from the nursery but for the most part that room will stay the same, just personalized for P :).

The nursery. I've been working on a few projects here and there for the nursery but really, I don't think it needs much more. Really, I'm planning on using most things we already have so it's really just putting it together. After Kit paints ;)... think calm, soothing & simple. That's what I'm going for.

So the goal is next week switching them. We'll see if that really happens. We are getting closer!

Thanks, Kelly!! :)

More Visitors :)

This past week we enjoyed having my parents visit for the week! We did all kinds of stuff from playing on the slides and blowing bubbles to antique shopping and my dad even had the opportunity to do a little picking (I owe you one, Tate!). We did shopping, playing, relaxing & sewing. We also got the privilege of celebrating my dad's birthday while they were here...a rare treat! Thank you so much for coming!!! :)
