Wells is {ONE}!!!!

I started typing this post a few times this week. I really don't have the words to say what it means to me to have you as my little boy! I still remember that moment, one year ago, when they laid you on my chest. The first baby of mine that I got to hold right away. Oh my. Heart melting unconditional love. I couldn't believe it. You were MINE. And you were so cute! I remember being all alone with you in the room and telling you that, your poppa and I, we would fight for you to find your place in this world. You are now on our team :).

You made us a family of FIVE. F-I-V-E. Wow. I'm going to be honest. FIVE has been a little cray cray...or maybe that's just the year we've had with relocating and such? Hmm...anywho...

Having my 3rd boy, I pretty much knew how little boys worked. Or did I? You are the SWEETEST thing I've ever met! Overall you are pretty quiet, laid back and have the gentlest spirit! Which can I say has taken me back on quite a few occasions? You are the complete opposite of your brother Porter who was constantly fighting to keep up with H at your age. You are always taking it all in...and trust me..you've got a lot to watch with two other brothers! That seems to give you lots of entertainment.  Lately tho, I can see the wheels turning... figuring out just how to gain control of a toy situation with your brothers. Oh boy do you know how to get them fired up!! :)

And they love you, oh how they love you. Anytime you are crying, or have slept a little longer than usual or we are getting our shoes on to go somewhere, a little voice will say, "we can't forget about Wellsie!" Henry prayed this the other day, "Dear God, thank you for this food, and for the sunshine. Please be with Wells. Help him to grow up so he'll stop grabbing my hair. He really hurts my hair, God." haha! So sweet! 

I don't know how many times I stare into those dark chocolate eyes of yours and say out loud, "you are so. beautiful."

You are so precious to us and I can't thank God enough for placing you into our family and we can not wait to see how the Lord uses you.

Wells {SEVEN} months

Oh my goodness...that month...where'd it go?

Wells you are really good at sitting up, rock back and forth on your knees & love being on your tummy. Rolling over, you have no desire from back to belly. You just lay there and seem completely unmotivated to reach for a toy and roll. You just kick your legs and jabber.

You have such a high pitched little squeal. 

It's adorable and you talk ALL day long and really get your eyebrows moving!!

You are still in size 4 diaper, 12-18 month clothes and take a bottle 4 times a day.

 You still are eating oatmeal, cereal and baby food! I think banana and berries and turkey with veggies may be your two favorites!! :)

You still are such a laid back baby except for your car seat. You have about a 25 minute timer and that's all you will tolerate of the carseat. Oh joy :/

Your hair is getting much longer and you have such sweet brown eyes with the longest eye lashes!!

 Henry adores you and Porter is always asking about you. If it's time for you to eat, go to sleep, if you are coming with us to run errands, if you need a snack, etc. He really keep tabs on you :)
You are content to play with toys around you for quite some time. Give you a basket of toys and you pick one up, look it over and grab the next. It keeps you quite busy throughout the day.

You still take 2 good naps one in the morning and one in the afternoon with a quick power nap in the evening. You sleep right around 12 hours at night from 7:30p to 7:30a.

You are pure sweetness Wellsie and go with the flow. You love to watch your brothers, play with your Poppa and then tell me all about it. You are everything we never knew we needed or wanted! Such a sweet little dubs!

{SIX months}.

Oh boy! Wells...you are SIX months. I can't believe it!!!!

You are sitting up really well for just turning SIX months. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. You do not need to be walking ANY. time. soon. okay little mister? ;)

 Such a sweetheart you are. You are laid back...let's face it, whether you are or not, you have to be! It's a little crazy around here sometimes ;). You take two great naps a day with a little power nap in the evening. You are in size 4 diapers and wear 12 month clothes. 

 You have the best laugh, love your jumperoo and are really liking the bumbo. You are eating oatmeal, cereal and some fruits and veggies. You have yet to tell us you don't like anything! You've tried apples, pears, peaches, squash, carrots, green beans, peas and you just want us to keep poking you full of food! ;). 

 You take a bottle 4 times a day and sleep 12 hours at night. 

 You are the drooliest baby I've ever met! ;) Your cheeks keep getting SO dry from all the slobber! Wondering if maybe you are working on teeth sooner than your brothers?

 You have rolled only a couple of times. you are content to just spin, spin, spin PLUS you have been pulling up on all fours. HOLY MOLY I'm not ready for that!

 You steal the hearts of women everywhere with your long, gorgeous eye lashes and your smile!

 We love you Wellsie!! It's been an awesome six months! :)

{5 months}.

Wellsie! You are FIVE months old now. I can't believe we are this far into your first year! We love you so much sweet boy.

You are such a little sweetheart! 

You weigh 20 pounds & are wearing 12 month clothes. 

 You are eating cereal like a champ & take a bottle 5 times a day. I'll probably start baby food soon...I know you are going to love it! :)

You still sleep all through the night. I am so thankful for this! You are taking 3 naps a day, are still swaddled but you put yourself to sleep. You no longer will take a pacifier. 

You are one happy little guy. This past month you discovered your jumperoo and LOVE it. That keeps you entertained a good 20-30 minutes so that gives me time throughout the day for you to be entertained and not held. 

You are okay with tummy time. Not loving it. I probably need to give you more of it. You are so close to rolling over!! :) You have started to reach for everything! If you can grab it, you are getting better at bringing it to your mouth. 

The one thing that you DON'T like is your carseat. You were tolerating it until the trip to Indiana & back. NOW, you scream bloody murder this week when I've put you in it. 

We had so much fun showing you off to friends and family in Indiana this past week. We are so proud of you and glad you got to meet so many!

Dedication Sunday

We dedicated our Wells at church today. Exactly one year ago today we dedicated Porter. I had JUST found out I was pregnant & was so nervous about it. I don't know why, God's timing is always perfect & he has been such a joyful addition to our family. We love you so much, Wells Grey. <3 br="br">

{FOUR} Months.

Wells!!

I can't believe it's time for you to rock the bow tie again!

FOUR months! Four months of having the best baby!

You are a true joy to have in our family Wells. You are the smiliest, happiest, most laid back baby I've ever met. You just go with the flow and love to sit around and watch the world around you. 

You are wearing 6-12 month size clothes. All the clothing is just a little bit different but in general it's anywhere from 6-12 months. You are in a size 3 diaper. You still take 3 naps a day with your last one becoming more of a quick "power" nap. Your morning and afternoon naps range from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours depending on how our day is going. You sleep 11-12 hours at night straight. You are such a quiet little sleeper. You are still swaddled. 

 You enjoy tummy time but haven't rolled over by yourself yet. You usually like to just "ride around" with us holding you and I call you my little koala baby. 

 You LOVE your bouncy seat and can really get going with kicking your legs and talking (read:YELLING) at your animals ;). 

You have an appt this week and we can't wait to see how much you weigh and can't believe we will get the go ahead to start baby cereal! AAaaahhHH! Slow down Wells.... this is going so fast!! :)

{THREE} months.

Oh Mr. Wells-

Three months have flown by! I can't believe you are 3 months old already!!

You don't go back to the doctor until 4 months so we don't know how much you weigh but we are guessing around 15 pounds. You are wearing 6 month clothes and are moving into size 3 diapers. You are starting to drool a lot and Henry says "eeewwww.....that's digusting momma!" ;).

This month we made the big transition from our room into your crib. Although I definitely had a hard time with it, you didn't skip a beat. You sleep from 8:00 - 8:30p.m. to about 7:15- 7:45a. You take 3 good naps during the day and one little power nap in the evening. I think you really like a pacifier. I still don't know what I think about that.

 You are my little "koala" baby. 

You just like to ride around with me and don't enjoy being put down for long periods of time. 

Being our "baby" I've just decided you might be 3 before you walk because I don't mind holding you ;). 

 You are such a sweet little boy. You track us & your brothers around the house and are eager to smile if anyone looks your way. You have a sweet little laugh too! Since you are becoming a little more interactive, Porter thinks you are pretty fun. He still likes to kiss your head and say, "HI BABY WELLS!" 

Tummy time isn't always your favorite but you do enjoy it for a few minutes. We are working on rolling over but it takes a lot of energy to move those big thighs around ;).
