2nd Annual Cadwallader Christmas Tree Hunt

We got our Christmas Tree today! Last year we had such a great time getting a tree, we couldn't wait to do it again! This year the boys were so enthusiastic about going to find the "perfect" tree.  Amazing the difference in a year...so glad we have Wellsie with us!! We dressed a little too "warm" for today. It's gorgeous. 66 and sunny. Still seems weird not needing to be bundle up & it's Christmas time. :)

I am such a sorry blogger lately! Not sure if anyone still reads this anyway???




Either it's crazy chaos, someone needs something, someone is in trouble, someone hit someone, someone spilled something, yada yada, you get the picture.:).  I seem to always be moving all during the day anymore and spend the days constantly picking up and cleaning up. AND, if there is any quiet time after all that, I just sit on the couch, with my feet up in complete silence ;)....because for sure when I put my feet up, someone is sure to wake up or need something in 2.5 seconds and the day continues on! haha!! It's busy. But I wouldn't have it any other way!




But really, it's a lot of fun around here...most days! ;). It's been six months since we've added Wells and I feel like it really does take every bit of six months when you add someone new to the family for everyone to get adjusted and somewhat settled. I think we are finally there. It's getting much easier to get everyone out the door, and keep the house in somewhat order. The reality is there is a certain level of productivity that HAS to get done everyday to keep us all moving smoothly. No more "lazy days"...that will come back to bite me. I hope that doesn't sound like complaining because I'm not, just stating we've finally been able to reach that "exhale"and "I think we might just make it" moments.




Henry. Henry is LOVING school & was starting to get worried during "Thanksgiving break" that school was over for good & he was SO sad. He's a big fan of getting dropped off and picked up through the car line, playing with his friends, snack time, chapel and oh yeah, a little learning here and there. Henry's teacher is a BIG fan of finger painting & glitter and he brings home some of the cutest little things!! We love Miss Shauna and you can always hear Henry telling Porter on a school morning, "Hurry up, Porter, Miss Shauna is waiting on me & I don't want to be late!!!" Henry has really been a great help to us lately. Eager to help his brothers and ALWAYS talking to Wells and playing with him on the floor. Super sweet. He has a servants heart...most days ;).




Porter. Porter is two. Porter is Mr. Independent. Porter is Passionate, that's the best way to describe him.   That boy knows what he wants and I can't wait to see what he does with all that passion, energy and drive...may it be used as a strong leader for his family and driven for the Lord. Porter loves to be the center of attention, loves to wrestle, & loves his food :). When that boy actually stops moving for a second to give me a hug and put his head on my shoulder, I melt. He also is my shopper. He's the most willing of the boys and it gives him & I some good one on one time :).




Wells. Sweet boy who always has a smile. Quiet & calm but really, he has no choice but to be! ha! He's very entertained watching H&P and often doesn't voice his opinion unless he needs changed or is ready for a nap.
So, that's the boys.




Kit just had his 30th bday and is keeping busy at work. He has most Fridays off until the end of the year...woohoo!! :) The new year will be bringing Kit a new position with his job, something we are both excited about and pray is a good fit for him at the Griffin plant.
My birthday is Friday. Henry is THRILLED my birthday is coming up bc that means his is next!!! Poor kid has the "last" in our family for a birthday by the calendar. He's waited FOREVER to turn FOUR. ha! ha!








Our Mantle is decorated for Christmas, half the outside of the house is done and that's all the further we've gotten. Maybe this weekend we'll do the tree and some more outside. We'll see :).
My Friend, Lindsay, is having her second baby and I. AM. SO. EXCITED for them!!! I can not wait!!! :)




I recently have had a little addiction with nail polish. I love it. Just a little pick me up at the end of the day when all the boys are tucked in bed gives me a few minutes to breathe and relax :).




I LOVE my life planner. It was definitely a little pricey but I love it. Use it all day long!
I think that's all for today's brain dump, randomness ;). And hey! I made it a whole post without getting interrupted. Yay!! :)

Happy 30th bday Kit!

{SIX months}.

Oh boy! Wells...you are SIX months. I can't believe it!!!!

You are sitting up really well for just turning SIX months. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. You do not need to be walking ANY. time. soon. okay little mister? ;)

 Such a sweetheart you are. You are laid back...let's face it, whether you are or not, you have to be! It's a little crazy around here sometimes ;). You take two great naps a day with a little power nap in the evening. You are in size 4 diapers and wear 12 month clothes. 

 You have the best laugh, love your jumperoo and are really liking the bumbo. You are eating oatmeal, cereal and some fruits and veggies. You have yet to tell us you don't like anything! You've tried apples, pears, peaches, squash, carrots, green beans, peas and you just want us to keep poking you full of food! ;). 

 You take a bottle 4 times a day and sleep 12 hours at night. 

 You are the drooliest baby I've ever met! ;) Your cheeks keep getting SO dry from all the slobber! Wondering if maybe you are working on teeth sooner than your brothers?

 You have rolled only a couple of times. you are content to just spin, spin, spin PLUS you have been pulling up on all fours. HOLY MOLY I'm not ready for that!

 You steal the hearts of women everywhere with your long, gorgeous eye lashes and your smile!

 We love you Wellsie!! It's been an awesome six months! :)

Tate took our pictures on Saturday and of course without fail, she always proves to get some good shots of our family, even though we are a crazy crew to work with! ;). The boys were not feeling having their picture taken so it's amazing what she got even tho there wasn't much to work with! ;)

and of course, I can't look at the pictures without thinking where we were last year :).

It seems I never have time to update my blog like I used to! What's going on with everyone?....
This little cutie is just so precious to us. He's still the best baby around. He loves the jumperoo & enjoys tummy time. He's rolled a couple of times but his new method of movement is spinning. He's content with toys all around him on the floor and will just work his way around 360 degrees :)
Porter had a quick but violent flu bug this past week. I felt so bad for him. He was so pitiful and so frustrated by it. Thankfully he was on the road to recovery by late that night and slept great and woke up rearing to go. He never missed a beat the next day. Kids are amazing! Other than that, Porter LOVES to be the oldest while H is in school. I always tell the boys, "who's the man?" when Kit is gone (Henry) or when Kit is at work and Henry is in school Porter loves to yell...ME!!! :). Too cute.


Henry & I matched at church this morning. So fun! We are loving our green skinny jeans for the fall :). Henry still loves school, loves to clean and organize just about anything. I really can't wait to see what he's going to do when he grows up. I know it's going to be something detailed & neat. All his ducks have to be perfectly in a row ;).


Kit and I got the RARE opportunity to have a Friday "off". Our babysitter was on fall break & Kit has some days to use before the end of the year. It was awesome. A whole day. No cutting up food, no rearranging things for nap time. Free to jump in and out of the truck without taking 10 minutes to unload/pull out strollers, oh my! We didn't know what to do with ourselves :). We enjoyed the day in Atlanta. It was a gorgeous day for a walk in piedmont park, walking around little shops and little mom & pop eateries! too fun!






Gisele. Our Giselli Morelli is still such a sweet girl. I hardly ever give an update on her on this blog anymore. She has become our outside dog & enjoys that...most days :). She enjoys playing with the boys & sunning herself in the backyard!
