Roadtrip!
Tonight we are enjoying a cookout with friends from church. I am loving that it's an extra long weekend for Kit and then on Tuesday my parents will be here...WAHOO!! We love having company!! :)
Also, Kit taught Henry this morning how to make lots of bumbleberries and that's ALL Henry did while we were out and about today!! :)
Henry likes to have his hands in his mouth CONSTANTLY. I am wondering if he isn't starting to cut some teeth :). If he is awake it's his first finger that he sucks on and if he's sleeping it's his thumb (I tried to take a picture yesterday but it's hard to tell)....

5 months!

Oh boy, 5 months have never flown by so fast!! Henry is really letting his personality come through recently. He rolls from tummy to back really well and has just starting rolling from his back to tummy. He is grabbing at everything and even the dogs are realizing what a good grab he has! Like I mentioned in the previous post, he just started to eat cereal, fruits and veggies twice a day. He sleeps 12 hours at night and takes at least 2 naps; depending on if we are out or not, he might need a third. He loves to laugh at the dogs and in the evening becomes quite giggly. We are having so much fun with our Mr. H and are blessed to be his parents!

Calling All Moms!
I could sure use some advice. I am so confused at this whole starting cereal, fruits and veggies thing.
I started Henry on cereal after his 4 month appointment just in the evening. After about a week or two we added some fruits. Just last week I worked in veggies and just the past few days I have started adding cereal in the morning. So, he has a bowl of cereal and anywhere from a 1/2 to whole jar of fruit. At night, he has 1-2 bowls of cereal, 1 jar of veggies and 1/2 jar fruit. He wakes up around 8 and happily plays in his crib, never having a "hungry" cry. I usually get him and do a diaper change and then let him play for a couple minutes while I get my breakfast ready and start his. Then he eats. I've tried nursing right after and also waiting about an hour and either way Henry will always eat. He seems to be able to tolerate somewhere between a 3 1/2 to 4 hour schedule this past week. Does this look right? Any suggestions??. I mix his cereal with water, not breastmilk or formula.
8a awake and eat cereal and fruit
9 a nurse
10a nap time
12p nurse
2p naptime
4p awake and nurse
6 30p cereal, fruit and veggies
8p nurse and bedtime
Thanks for your thoughts!!

Rolling & Last day at MOPS
Last night I awoke it a very strange cry at a very early hour. It wasn't a hungry cry. It wasn't a scared cry. It almost sounded...happy?! As I stumbled into Henry's room wondering what the problem was...there was a very giggly, happy Henry. He rolled over for the first time in his crib and was delighted with himself to be on his back instead of his belly!
Oh Henry!... ;)
Today was our last day at MOPS until it starts back up in September. We enjoyed the morning with a victorian themed tea! MOPS is a wonderful program and I would definately encourage any one with preschoolers to check and see what is available in your area!! :)It's great to have that connection with other Stay at home moms and Henry & I are staying quite busy. We are finally getting into that nice, solid routine and I love it SO much!!
Monday~ Grocery Day
Tuesday ~ Laundry
Wednesday~ What I call "Fun Shopping"/errand/exploring day (If we feel up to it) and Library Day; church in the evening.
Thursday~ Mommy Day (Rotating at different mom's houses) from 12 00 to 2 30
Friday~ Cleaning Day and Poppa is Home for the weekend!!
Saturday~Family Day & Yard Work
Sunday~ Church
Pretty soon the pool will be open and we'll have that to enjoy also! :)

Our Talkative Henry
This is usually what I get to hear all throughout the day, unlike most videos I post where it is "quiet" Henry. Also, if you notice he has really started to enjoy playing with his tongue and can be found "flipping" it over while talking...quite impressive Henry!

A BIG Thank You!
(Hope it doesn't take forever to see on your sssssllloooowww dial-up ;)).
Thanks so much to everyone who has helped to make this a really great FIRST Mother's day for me! I appreciate all the cards and well wishes :). The other night Kit and I were talking about how fast this past year has gone by! This time last year we knew we were expecting but kept it a secret until Memorial Day!
I love getting mail; it's so rare since it's usually just junk ads or bills but I've had alot of fun going to the mailbox these past few days! There's just something about getting a handwritten card :)
I am truly blessed and absolutely love being a mother!
Thanks again, everyone!
