My Sing -a- Long Pal

(Sorry, it's a little dark...)

I've started singing to Henry before every nap and bedtime to start a "routine". I also think it helps him to wind down before I put him in his crib for him to put himself to sleep. I swaddle him up, sing these three songs, tell him how much I love my Henry Wade and that when he gets up we'll have playtime. Then, I put him in his crib, he looks at me, smiles, yawns and in a couple minutes when I peek my head in, he is fast asleep!

Well, the past few days my little buddy has started to "sing a long". I think it is SO cute how he puts his head on my shoulder and "sings"with me.

Well, tonight we thought we'd show you a little glimpse of naptime and bedtime around here...

I just can't get enough of this sweet little guy...Enjoy!

(again, please ignore my voice!!)

Cousin Play Date!

Henry & I had a really fun day as cousin Kaitlyn came to see us along with Denise, Brenden & Connor!

What fun to see how much these two have grown!

If you don't remember, they were born the same day, same hospital, just thirty minutes apart and we had the same doctor.
It's amazing to already see great differences in their personalities. Miss Kaitlyn was all smiley and boy, can see move all around. Mr Henry on the other hand was quite serious all day and doesn't put much effort into burning any calories...as you can tell ;)
One thing is true for both of us...God sure blessed us with healthy, happy little babies; we are so glad they are here!

Denise, Kaitlyn, Me & Henry

We actually went out to eat and hit the Carter's store...not bad for two babies on different eating schedules :)

No wonder Kaitlyn is smaller, she moves around alot more and burns off all those calories :)

I can't imagine having octuplets.......or twins for that matter!!!

Alright Kaitlyn...next time is at your house!

Two Month Appointment

Henry had a good appointment!
Weight: 15 pounds even (97th percentile)
Length: 23 1/4 " long (75th percentile)

Of course, he didn't like getting his shots and I had to help hold him down. The nurse commented she hasn't had to do that to a 2 month old for a while and that he is going to be very strong when he gets older!
I brought him home, fed him and put the little guy to bed!
He has had quite the day :(.

Monkey Gym

Thanks, AHN gals! This stroller worked alot better today on our run!
When I put Henry on his monkey gym, sometimes he likes it and sometimes he doesn't. Today, I finally figured out why! It depends whether I am laying him on his back where he can see our ceiling fan or not. He always loves it and when we are in the family room his eyes are always looking around trying to find it!

Hail

We had our first hail storm last night here in Georgia. Our area really wasn't as bad as most; some parts encountered baseball size hail. As you can tell, ours weren't that big!

A Boy & His Dog Part 2

Alright, I decided to be brave and try to do an update with "A boy and his dog". When I asked Gisele to lay down and was laying Henry beside her she became SO excited...you could tell she wanted to burst with excitement that we were letting Henry get close to her but knew a good Momma shouldn't go crazy. She was perfect with him! I took video because her tail was thumping on the floor the whole time I had him there except when I took the video (Of course). She knows when we film or take a picture because of the camera noises.
If you can see in the video, Henry is a happy as a lark just smiling and kicking away!

If you remember when he was born my sister took this photo (about 2 weeks old)....

And this is what I captured Today (2 months old)...

Keep those rolls a comin...

9 weeks & first real run

Look at those chubby legs!!

Today I decided I wanted to do something about these 5 pounds I need to lose to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. So, I loaded up Henry and we went for a run. AHN gals : I wanted to use the jogging stroller but this is how far I got (Kit will have to help me! :))

So instead, we ran with this stroller. Henry was such a good running buddy and afterwards gave me a smile...which was sweet because I thought I was going to die! . I think I stopped at about 16 weeks of pregnancy and just walked the rest of the pregnancy.

Oh, it's been too long...I do love running in the fresh air. There's nothing like running shoes, your iPod and a good run.

Quirky...just like me!

So, Kit got me my favorite flower for valentine's day...tulips! I just love tulips. They are quirky...just put them in the sunshine and watch them pop open and twist all about.
I just had to share such a pretty picture...
THINK SPRING :)

Our 2 month old

Henry is now 2 months old...time is flying by too fast! It seems like just yesterday we brought home the little floppy headed, slept all the time, fell asleep eating little boy. Not any more! I shouldn't say that...Henry has always seemed very alert to me, even in the hospital; he was born at 2:05 pm and didn't fall asleep until his 9:30p feeding. He's the type that when he's awake, he's awake! and when he's asleep, he's asleep! He is becoming alot more interactive and starting to be okay with Poppa too! Saturday, I was able to go out and run some errands and enjoy myself while the boys stayed at home...sounds like they had a great time!

Yesterday, we went to both Sunday school and worship and Henry was in nursery the whole time (I just had to feed him in between services) and they said he's a sweet, cuddly lil' guy. The old ladies said he is a very pretty boy (but we won't tell Poppa they mention "pretty" and "his boy" in the same sentence!).

He's beginning to stay awake at longer periods through out the day and I'm wondering if he really needs his first morning nap...we'll see.

He still has beautiful blue eyes...I'm so curious to see in the coming months if they stay or change. His hair is starting to fall out but it continues to look auburn to me.
His appointment isn't until next Monday, his Ped is out all this week and I really didn't want to see the other guy, I'll wait thank you! I can't wait to see how much he weighs. He was 11#7 at one month, I'm guessing at least around 14#...

Well, Mr. Serious knows to turn off the smiles when the camera comes out because he was SO cute this morning until the black thing is in front of his face, he stopped it altogether and just stared at me!

Video seems to be more his thing...(please ingnore ME!)

Henry's First Valentine's

We had such a great Valentine's Day! Kit & I found this great little restaurant that was close to home, the atmosphere was awesome with dim lighting, our table was perfect in a corner by the fireplace, great music playing, fabulous food and...free babysitting! What's this place called you ask?!

Our Living Room!
That's right, we had to get creative about having a good Valentine's dinner and were weren't about to try to get to a restaurant...they are always crazy busy! And, with no Grandma or Mamaw around we decided to stay home.
We decided to fondue...our favorite restaurant is here but it is very expensive and this way we saved money!! It was super yummy. We fondued steak in a red wine base with vegetables. Dessert was yum with milk chocolate and we dipped pound cake, graham crackers, bananas, and marshmallows. (We had to skip the cheese round...none for me while breastfeeding!)

Anyway, Mr. Henry did such a great job...we waited until after I fed him in the evening and got his bath. Then, we put him in his bouncy seat in front of the fire to watch the flames...he was quite taken with the flames (It wasn't too close mamaw ;))! Then, he took a power nap while we had dessert and coffee. It was then one more feeding and he was out for the night :).

And, a good time was had by all!

So, What did YOU do?!

Poppa Time

They are looking more & more alike!

It is really cute to see Kit & Henry interact! They are so cute together and Henry is really starting to look around when Kit talks!
