Birthday Recap and Hair Cut

Kit rather annoyed at me taking a picture :)

Yummy, yum!

Kit had a pretty good birthday! I do know he would like to thank everyone for making his day special (Kenlyn-Thanks for the card; we just got it today)!! Instead of having cake I made his favorite oreo dessert--that way I knew it would all get eaten (definately by me, too!):). We decided to try eating somewhere that was new to us...a "local" favorite looked a little rough so instead we tried Shane's Rib Shack. We weren't too impressed (We miss South Street!)! Anyway, I know he really wanted to see the new Bond flick so we drove to the movie theather only to discover the line practically get out the door was for people going in who already had their tickets!! There was a sea of kids for what we came to the conclusion was for the BOLT premiere so we looked at each other and got out of there as fast as we could :). We enjoyed going to the matinee on Saturday instead.

Today I went to get my hair "trimmed" and practically got it all chopped off! I told her to get it back to being "healthy" and I think she said that was 3 inches!!
That's ok, I knew it needed it and I won't be back for a while...

BiRtHdAy BoY!!

I cannot believe when Kit came into my life I was just 15 and he was 16. Here we are 10 years later, 4 years of marriage, 2 dogs, living in Georgia with a baby on the way! I am so blessed and thank God for the incredible man he gave to me! I started reminiscing this morning and thought I would pull a handful of favorite snapshots....
Happy Birthday, Kit!! ;)

35 weeks...

So, I can't believe I am already 35 weeks pregnant. The time seems to have flown by and here we are already in the second half of November! I took some pictures today to continue documenting the pregnancy. I have absolutely loved being pregnant. I enjoy all the kicks, flutters and hiccups of this new life growing and thriving inside of me. Kit and I are overwhelmed at God's goodness and the blessing this child has already brought into our lives.
Our appointment was another "fun" appointment. We had our last ultrasound. The baby continues to be head down with a 145 bpm heartrate. The measurements are still consistent with a 7 1/2 to 8 pound baby. Tonight we got an extra special surprise when the doctor was actual able to get some 4D pictures of the face. It's pretty amazing how far technology has come that we get a sneek peek at the baby from inside the womb. Neither of us really cared to have this done but it is pretty neat to see the features. I don't think we are spoiling anything by revealing the pictures to you since can't tell if it's a boy or a girl by the pictures....we just think it's just a darn cute baby!! :)
Enjoy!

I think we may be finished...

Last night we got our changing table and a little side table to sit beside our chair. The nursery has come along quite nicely and I think we are pretty well done. It was so nice to go with my cousin last week and see what all she had on her list. I have decided not to hang anything on the wall yet...I'll just wait and probably use baby pictures around the room :). I have enough neutral onesies and gowns along with a handful of outfits to get us by until we find out the sex. I have cute little baby socks, booties, caps and bibs. We have diapers, wipes, good smelling baby lotion, wash and cream. We have the pac 'n play along with a cradle for our room complete with a couple sets of sheets for both. We have oodles of receiving blankets, fleece blankets, crochet blankets and burp rags. We have the carseat and stroller along with bouncy seat. We have been so blessed by family, friends, co-workers and my patients. I think we are getting there...and we are so excited ;)

Trip to the BiG cItY!

View from Target

IKEA!!!

On Sunday we decided to get out and travel into Atlanta, afterall you can be there within 30 minutes. Kit had never been to an IKEA before and there were some things I wanted to get for the nursery. We went and had a really good time but I have to say my favorite was leaving IKEA and finding the Atlanta SUPER TARGET!!! I just had to check it out since it was complete with parking garage, escalators and a really good view. When we checked out we got a coupon for buy one, get one free Starbucks! Well, we just had to get some :). I got decaf and as less sugar as I could but it was no use, the baby had an awesome time jumping and kicking around ;).

Downtown living...cute but I can not imagine living in the heart of Atlanta

Wx Fall Break!

My sister and her family came to visit us over their fall break! We are so glad they came and enjoyed spending time with them. The next time we see them, Baby Cad should be here!! They arrived late Thursday night and made really great time. On Friday we enjoyed going to the World of Coca-Cola (poor Kit, he still had to work ) and eating at The Varisty downtown. Amy & I with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear

All of us in the Tasting Room. There was over 64 flavors to taste test along with the coke room, too!
************************************************************
On Saturday, we drove to see my cousin and her family. The kids had alot of fun playing with each other for the afternoon. We ended the evening with a little Japanese food...it was yummy! Thanks Todd, otherwise we would have never tried it :) :).

Thanks again for visiting! We loved seeing family!!! :)

Yesterday I drove to the North side of Atlanta to visit my cousin and spent the day getting things for the nursery. I had a really great time seeing family and getting out.
I am loving that we have fall color...it's quite beautiful!
I did go ahead and purchase the Pac 'N Play yesterday. I put it together this morning except for the bassinet...I installed it backwards so I'm over it. I'll let Kit fix it tonight :).
Above, we found a boy and girl outfit to bring the baby home in along with a little cozy one piece for the car seat.

Buy It. Install It. Cross it off the List.

Many of you know I'm a huge LIST person. I have a daily To-Do lists, a weekly To-Do list, a Grocery List, A Meal Planner List, etc. I get so much satisfaction in crossing it off the list and marking it complete!
I must drive my poor husband nuts with all the "house things to do" but I just think that you should personalize and update your house and make it the way you want. I'd rather make the changes and enjoy living with them then making them at the last moment before you sell and not get to enjoy them at all (we've already learned that lesson).
So, I had an awesome weekend. Well, WE had an awesome weekend...I think :). I love the Lowe's kind of Saturdays. The wake up, make your list, get all the measurements, put it in the cart, use your coupons, come home, work on it right away and get it all installed before the weekend is over!! Go to your list and cross it off... it feels so good :)
We were able to find a organizer piece that matches our bathroom pretty close for extra storage, an organizer for the baby's closet, Kit went through his office and has pretty much gotten the filing cabinet organized again and installed the pulls in the kitchen, guest bath and our bathroom.

The pulls are simple.

We kept with the polished silver since the rest of the house is accented with it.

The dogs had a nice weekend too! They enjoy Kit being home on the weekends and we took a couple long walks and last night even ventured into the woods behind us. In this picture they had to stay since I was playing "find the truck!" with them. Grover as always is very good with anything that requires him to use his nose. Gisele just follows Grover around and at the end expects a treat when Grover produces the missing toy. Who can resist her big, brown eyes?! Of course she gets a treat :)
We would like to ask for continued prayer about finding a church family. Yesterday we went to the same church here again in Locust Grove. We made it to Sunday School and Worship yesterday. We really like it and there is alot of growth going on with the church. Yesterday, I asked a couple we have gotten to know to show me the nursery area and like the rest of the church is very clean and well organized. We have enjoyed the Pastor's sermons and love the fact he is non apologetic about teaching directly from the Bible. We are getting used to hearing the Southern twang! :) Anyway, we decided next week we should try something else out so we'll see where we go!
Nothing much on the baby front. I ordered the changing table and a side table for the nursery last week. I look for them to arrive early next week...then the baby's room should be complete and can become better organized. The last big item we need to buy is a Pac 'N Play. The last week I feel as though I have really gotten "big" and running up and down the stairs doesn't really seem as possible as it once was. But I am still feeling great...
Well, I better stop typing and get to the store :).
Love,
Grace

Appointment Yesterday

I had another good appointment yesterday. We didn't run into any traffic so it took us about 50 minutes again. I gained one pound in two weeks and my blood pressure was great at 113/74. The baby's heartrate continues to stay around 140 bpm. Kit got to meet the doctor and we talked about some delivery options/preferences.

After the appointment we had 1 1/2 hours until the tour at the hospital. It was still too early to eat so we drove around Dunwoody for a few minutes while I was trying to find some sh0pping for us to do. The Garmin stated the Bass Pro Shops was only 15 minutes away so we decided to take advantage of being so close. Unfortunately, neither of us thought about it taking us on the interstate at rush hour--that was an experience. We finally now know what ATL traffic is all about! haha. Anyway, by the time we arrived, we decided we really should head back towards the hospital before we eat so we can eat quickly and make it for the tour on time.

I love the Macaroni Grill and there was one only a few minutes away from the hospital. There was hardly anyone there and so we decided to try it out. Our waitress started off very friendly and cordial until we decided we wanted to share the chef's trio since we weren't really starving but needed to eat something and you get a salad, entree and dessert for one price. She became very upset at us when we said we wanted to "split one meal" and rushed over to the manager. When she came back she was very blunt and said "what did you want?!" quite forcefully! We asked if sharing was a problem and she just rolled her eyes and became quite scarcastic stating no one at the restaurant has EVER, EVER asked to share a meal! At first we weren't sure what to think but decided the best thing to do in situations like that is to just show kindess. It was quite comical how she was so pleasant to the other customers on either side of us and then would just walk up, slide a Dr. Pepper on Kit's side of the table and walk away with no expression! Anyway, it was very good still and we had a nice date despite the attitudes of others.

Sorry, back to the Hospital Tour :)

It was VERY nice...quite a night and day difference from the other hospital. All rooms are private with TVs, DVD players, CD players, etc. Our Tour Guide was really nice and quite helpful. The cafeteria has McDonalds and Starbucks...I guess the two American essentials! haha

We are quite pleased with the high level of security and medical professionals who are always available.

Anyway, we didn't get back home until about 8:30p so it was quite the evening in ATL but all went well. As long as we don't have to travel to the hospital during rush hour, we should be fine :)

33

Sorry for lack of posts recently. I had such a great visit with my mom and Granny. It was alot of fun to find quilt shops, antique malls, visiting quite a few Targets, yummy food and the list goes on!
Well, I can't believe we are at 33 weeks already! We have an appt this afternoon along with the tour of the hospital this evening. I'm so glad Kit is able to come to this appt and meet the doctor. I will have to post about it tomorrow but thought I'd post a belly picture today!
