Dr. Perry

Well, the saga continues! I went to see another (yes, another!) oral surgeon regarding my wisdom teeth.

Below is the man that is going to do it! Dr. Michael Perry. I know, I know in this picture he looks more like a woman but whatever, I must admit that I actually liked the fact that he had a bit of an "attitude". He was confident that he would successfully extract my wisdom teeth. He was reasonable that there is a risk involved regarding my mandibular nerve and the potential for chin numbness but was practical in that we both agreed there is a higher risk for infection with the partial extractions. As of today, I set my surgery for May 25th. I just hope I don't call back in and cancel it!

Kenlyn, they offered me April 27th for my surgery but I was like, "oh, that's before Vera! That won't work...." They just gave me a weird look! haha

Happy Easter

We hope everyone had an enjoyable and blessed Easter celebrating the ressurection of our LORD! It all started Sunday morning when Kit & I enjoyed watching Grover "smelling out" his easter eggs! I had the funny idea to put some dogs treats in some of the eggs and candy in the other eggs. Grover has the "nose" and he was able to smell out every egg that had the dog treat in it! It was hilarious because you would think he would be lightheaded from all the "sniffing" and then with his teeth and paw would very gently "pop" open the egg and effortlessly eat his treat! It was very enjoyable.
We also enjoyed a big breakfast with our church family on Sunday which was really nice to sit around and fellowship with other members of the body of Christ! The choir also did an awesome job...
Finally, we enjoyed the afternoon with my side of the family for lunch, followed by Kit's side. We got there a little too late and missed almost everyone :(. Sorry guys!

Do you see the egg?

Meet JD

Yeah! Kit finally found a good used mower! My husband is obsessed with making sure the grass is cut. It's 8:53 p.m. and he's still mowing :).

Birthdays x 2

We had an enjoyable weekend. It was filled with two birthdays! My nephew Rob turned 11 and Silas, Kit's nephew turned 2!

Home Sweet Home

With the new weather, we've been "inspired" to get outside and enjoy it! We've been taking walks and recently started running. Grover of course comes with us but after the run, is always happy to walk through the doors and be home!

Yank 'em out?!?

Not much is going on around here. The only big news is that I am going to have to have my wisdom teeth out. I avoided it last year after an oral surgeon remarked, "You've got the biggest teeth I think I have ever seen!" haha. He was quite puzzled with my bottom wisdom teeth. They have come in sideways and are actually wrapped around a nerve which could potentially cause "chin numbness". I went to the dentist again this week and they mentioned the fact again that if the wisdom teeth didn't come out, I would be putting others at risk, causing more problems in the end. I have a couple more Oral Surgeons to see because they think the best bet might be a "partial extraction". The way it has been explained to me is to take the top part of the tooth and keep the bottom in the bone with the nerve so as to not cause damage.

Weekend

We had a very enjoyable weekend in Ohio! It is always a great spending time with my Sister and her family. We also were able to get dressed up and go with them to a charity event. My favorite was probably ending up at the Scottish Pub though for an appetizer and dessert!! Very good food :) THANKS AMY & TODD!

Tv Stand

Above is the very start of the Tv Stand. Check out http://www.greendesigns.com They were the inspiration for the project.

Below our pictures from our wedding.

Since Feb 24

Ok, Ok so my last post was February 24th...I'm allowed! haha I know it's ironic that I wrote a post about "Why I love Blogging" and then stopped, quit, like I fell off the face of the earth but honestly, there is not alot to let you all in on. Our lives could be phrased as some days routine. But, we LOVE it since Kit has now GRADUATED and he is thrilled to just work! He is starting to build our TV stand (finally! The craftsman has GOT to GO!). Everyone in favor, please say AMEN! haha
We were both blessed to go to conferences with church last weekend. It was awesome for both of us!! Kit spent the weekend with a handfull of guys and I spent it with 40 + women. It was encouraging and refreshing to seek out the Lord!
Also, we have been blessed to have family and friends come to our house to take a peek! We are so thankful for everyone who has come and been able to spend time with us.

Why I love blogging

Ok, I have to admit that....
I love being able to put all these pictures up so when I talk with friends and family they know what I talking about. Say for instance that candle votive circle thing a ma bob. I could try to describe it over the phone or simply write, "See Kenlyn, it's similar to yours but still different!" haha
I know I am missing a glass votive in that picture. The last one was broken :(

sLuMbEr PaRtY!!!!

We want to thank Rob, Mallory, Clint & Erika for being our first overnight guests!! We had alot of fun (Grover really enjoyed the hide 'n go seek!)

Thanks Guys!!
Love you,
K&G

We are hanging up some floating shelves right now in our Master Bedroom but it's not quite "cute" yet. I'll have to post pictures later! Have a great weekend!

Snow Emergency

Well, our snow emergency just got extended til 5 p.m.! Happy Valentine's Day :) The first pictures give you an idea of why Grover hates to go outside since the drift is just about as tall as he is! The other picture is our front door snowed in shut...couldn't open it IF we wanted to!

Stuck at home

Ok, so with all this crazy weather Kit wanted to see if he could pack some snow down tonight since it just keeps coming and coming but he didn't even get out of the garage before getting stuck! There is also a picture of a big drift in front of our front door. Ok, this will be my last post for the night! LOL Can you tell we have some extra time on our hands?
