yes, he does! If you notice H's eyes...he'd just been crying b/c he got demoted to no sign holding b/c of improper sign usage/etiquette. He wasn't very happy that Porter was able to hold the sign and the fact he wasn't getting out of that chair until he smiled! ha! :)
