So lately, life with a busy toddler has kept me off of blogger. But, I thought I better document this...
Yesterday, Henry and I had a playdate with some girls from church at Chic-Fil-A. We enjoyed the morning at home, made a quick stop to Wal-Mart and then headed over to the restaurant for lunch. This particular Chic-Fil-A is ALWAYS busy so I drove around a couple of times and realized I should just park in the back of the lot and get the exercise walking. Henry was VERY excited to see his little buddy Riley. They enjoyed laughing at each other while eating across the table and Henry ate VERY well! He LOVES Chic-Fil-A. After we all ate, we decided to let the kids play in the play place! Until recently, we'd never gone in there but on our last trip home, we'd let Henry run around and play in the toddler area to burn some energy. Well, things started off really well. Henry's friend, Riley, is a big climber (already out of his crib) so immediately he took off to climb the tunnels. Henry just watched but continued to play on the ground. I really didn't care if Henry climbed the tunnels...it's all enclosed and thought he might enjoy it. Well, a daredevil, my son is NOT...He followed after Riley and climbed up the steps. He popped his head in the first tunnel but the loud echoes of kids screaming stopped Henry in his tracks and...there was the moment that I knew, he was scared stiff! So that folks is when I, with my 26 week pregnant belly climbed up the kiddy play place to get my son. Oh yes, what a moment that was...ha!
It was time to leave after that...But, the local fire department was there passing out coloring books, crayons, hats, cows, etc. So, before I made it to the door, they handed me all the wonderful goodies...Let's refresh.. I'm holding Henry, have my drink my hand, the fire hat, cow, coloring book, crayons, diaper bag and purse over my shoulder WHEN...a very nice man made a beeline to the door and...handed Henry a balloon! ha! My hands were LOADED and then I get to walk to the back of the parking lot. On the way to the car, in 90+ degree weather, I have to laugh out loud as I think to myself, where am I going to put a new baby?!
Oh boy, things are about to get interesting folks!
:)
After naptime, I really wanted to go to the local Farmer's market but, decided we better just pull out the pool and stay home!

He enjoys filling up the pool by himself...

The room is almost complete!! I've been working all week on sanding and painting his toddler bed which is the LAST thing to go in his room. Everything else is ready to go...today I'll be doing touch ups at nap and then hopefully Kit can assemble the bed this weekend...wahoo!!
Kit made shelves for his room which are simple but I LOVE them, I used the carpet cleaner to shampoo the carpet yesterday so it's all going to be fresh, clean and fun for the little man!
