FBC Locust Grove
Well, it's official. We are now members of First Baptist Church of Locust Grove!!!!
fbclocustgrove.com.
We are so thrilled to be apart of God's family and such a great church body. We are looking forward to finding our place in ministry and have already started a PLACE class on Wednesday nights.

This church has been such a blessing to us already. We have already formed lots of great friendships with other couples and they have been such an encouragement to me if I'm down because I'm homesick, have a question about schedules with Henry, need some advice, etc.
Last week Henry was promoted to the crawler's class and it's so great that they already have a few minutes of Bible Stories every week. It's so cute to see him and his buddies, Brady & Riley, sitting in the quad table learning about God !
Henry & I enjoy reading from his Children's Bible during the day and singing Jesus Loves Me with the hand motions. He is very intrigued with the motions!!
We are praying that Henry accepts Christ at a young age.
Also, I am loving the book, Shepherding a Child's Heart by Ted Tripp. Wonderful Read! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!! :)
I leave you with a picture from over the weekend.
We went to a park not far away and Henry enjoyed his time on the baby swings.

1/2 bath makeover
When we first bought this house the 1/2 bath was white with lots of scuff marks so...I decided that I loved the color of our guest bath in our other house and decided to go with a "burnt orange" again. But something went terribly wrong! I turned out more NEON orange than burnt and since we just painted the rest of the house, I decided last week it was time for the neon orange bathroom to go away...(seriously, you didn't even need to turn on the light in there...it was that bright!)
Anyway, I like the finished clean and fresh look much better!!

What's for Breakfast?

I recently rediscovered my smoothie maker and have been having one every morning for breakfast. Smoothies are so healthy for you, too!
Well, except for the whipped topping but strawberry, banana, peaches, yogurt, orange juice...yummy!!
Also, Henry thinks the smoothie maker is hilarious and he is quite content to sit in his highchair and watch the whole process which totally works for me! :)What did YOU have for breakfast?

Reflections
Our 1/2 bath downstairs is getting a new paint job. Yup, if you have ever been lucky enough to see it in person you know it is too much orange and not enough burnt! haha Anyway, the mirror has been moved out to the hallway for renovations and Henry has been enjoying playitime with his new friend (whom I call Hank!) ;).

Mr. Curious

I do enjoy that Henry is crawling and this such a fun stage with him. It's so cute to give him his basket of toys and watch him pull one out at a time and play with himself. He seems to be more content now that he can see where he wants to go and that he can get there on his own. Just like yesterday when he decided he wanted to get the dog bowls and play in the dog water (which resulted in a floor being mopped, and a new change of clothes for the both of us!) :)
All of the sudden our little boy is looking quite grown up! We are blessed beyond measure with a very sweet and tenderhearted little boy !

WhEn YoU CaTcH a MoNkEy...
...put him in his highchair and let him feast on Banana Puffs!
My goodness, Henry has really taken off and is now pulling up. He usually pulls up to his knees but I've caught him recently going for the whole standing she-bang. Last night we had to lower his crib, too!
Boy oh boy am I getting my exercise! :)
Happy Birthday!

Who does he look like?
"Who does he look like?" That would be the question we hear ALL the time these days...some family, some friends, but mostly strangers ask us...alot!
While I was home I grabbed a few pictures of mine and decided to post evidence that Henry looks alot more "Berninger" than "Cadwallader". There are many times a certain look or facial expression will remind me of Kit but after looking back at my pictures, I think it's clear that he tends to favor me. Especially his eyes, nose, chubbines...haha :)
We're Home & a Fun Day!
We have arrived back home and are still enjoying Kit's time off together. Today we drove to the ATL and enjoyed the Underground Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola, lunch at the Varsity, a walk through centennial park and a drive around downtown.
Henry got a small taste of a chocolate shake at The Varsity

Poppa & Henry

If you look down further I also posted a few things from our time in IN. As always it's so busy and I often forgot to turn the camera on but we really enjoyed our time with family and appreciate everyone who opened up their homes to us!!
World of Coke!
This picture just makes me smile!
We were on our way home from ATL and doing well until traffic came to a hault! Fortunately, we were close to an exit and it just happened that Garden Ridge was right off the interstate (lucky for me!!). We decided to take a walk through and wait out the traffic...we really are responsible parents!! ;)
500th Post!!!
Well, I just so happened to look and this is our 500th post!! No doubt about it that the posts have greatly sped up (and I have more readers than just my mom and sister) thanks to our adorable son! Here are a few shots I snapped at my parents one evening...
I call this one "farmer wannabees"
waaaaayyyy cute!

Check out Henry's balance
Don't worry....
This was the picture above...I just cropped it but Kit had 'em!

Good 'ol county fair
Of course while we were in town, we HAD to stop in at the county fair! Boy oh boy does that place bring back oodles and oodles of memories for me! I am a huge advocate for the county fair and absolutely love the community outreach and fundraising, young adolescent mentoring, skill development and fellowship! Not to mention that it has been 7 years since I was crowned Miss Tippecanoe County! Holy Moly I feel old!! ;) Anywho, this year I was all about the food. I am pretty sure my sister has the picture of me stuffing me face in a hoagie but who cares about calories when you are at the fair...it's only once a year!
