Back Home Again

We made it back home last night ! :). While I'm not sure while I do it to myself at the time, I'm always so glad when we return home that I cleaned the house before we left. Today is the normal after-vacation list of laundry, picking up, putting away, etc.
I have lots of pictures to sort through and sometime I'll get back to this blog :)
We enjoyed getting to spend time with family and friends and had a great trip!!

Trash Talk

(Here is Henry sporting his fake oh-boy-she-has-the-camera-out-again smile)

I wanted to be sure to write this down so I can remember in the future...

Henry is LOVES trash. He loves to pick up trash, throw trash away and is constantly asking if something is "twash, twash"? If he sees anything on our new floors, he'll run over, bend down, pick it up and announce proudly, "TWASH"!! It's probably b/c he sees me obsessing over the flooring now and I let him throw things away, especially if we are cooking or baking to keep him involved. I had to laugh though when the other day I spent extra time wrapping a birthday gift for his friend, Zoe. We are unfortunately going to miss her party this weekend but wanted to run it over before we left town. I took great joy in making it extra pink and frilly and used LOTS of curling ribbon. I loaded up H, the gift and off we went to deliver the package. I looked in my rear view mirror to see Henry tearing off all the curling ribbon and yelling "TWASH!!" Horrified, I was trying to reach behind me and grab it from him but I couldn't get to him. When we arrived at Zoe's house, I tried quickly to repair it before walking up to the door. My once fluffy, fun and frilly package was now crinkled, smashed, without life. We chatted for a while and there was Henry again near the gift this time he ripped off the ribbon for good and since he knows Zoe's house quite well, took the ribbon to the trash can! He proudly walked over to me and announced TWASH! as if he'd saved the gift from being eaten by the curling ribbon.

Beach Pictures

Here are a few pictures my friend Tate took of Henry while we were on the beach. I know I am biased, but I think he is such a handsome little guy! Thanks, Tate!! :)

My Book Reader!

This morning I've been doing lots of laundry and putting stuff away. We used this seat as his highchair during our trip and I had yet to put it away. He insisted to have the tray put on and all he wants to do is read! Can't argue with that! :)

We're BAAACK! :)

We had such a great time at Hilton Head! The Lasseter/Cathcart family were terrific hosts and things couldn't have gone smoother! Henry LOVED the beach and really enjoyed it more than I was thinking he would. The weather was gorgeous and there was always a nice breeze so you never felt overly hot...it was just perfect! We got to see dolphins from afar and I personally got to see a sand shark and stingray WAY too close :). I'd never been to Hilton Head before and would totally consider vacationing there again! It's only 4 hours away from us so it wasn't terribly far at all!
We had a great little routine of waking up, eating breakfast and playing at the beach all morning. We'd come back to the house, have lunch and Henry would take a nice, long nap while I enjoyed laying by the pool outside. After naptime, we'd go back to the beach until supper and then get all cleaned up for the evening.
We sure missed Kit though and are really glad to be back home! :)
Only one more week and we get ready to leave again

Finally, we have video!!!

Show me to the beach!

Ahh, we've made it to Friday! Today is my laundry, cleaning and packing today because tomorrow Henry and I (with friends) are headed to Hilton Head!! Some of you know but long story short... my friend's sister is getting married NEXT saturday on the beach and they rented a beach house to accomodate guests but they won't be coming in until Wednesday Night/Thursday morning so... Henry and I jumped at the chance to have a little "mini" vacation! I am hoping he does really well and loves playing in the sand. I bet he will. He loves water and getting dirty so it's a perfect combination, right? :)
My memory stick broke so I need to run out today and get one so I'll be able to take plenty of pictures of our trip!
If it's not one thing, it's another! :)
Have a great Friday! Hernry last summer on the beach~8 months

He is so sweet!

My husband is the best husband around. Right now he is taking Henry & Grover on a walk so I can have a few minutes of down time and of course, I have no idea what to do by myself so I thought I'd take a few minutes to put in a new blog entry. :)
We would love your help in praying with us to find Grover a new forever home. We have had quite a few leads but nothing has yet to pan out....
Yesterday and today I have spent time moving Henry's closet into his new room and organizing baby things. I know it doesn't all need to be done right now but since it's all out and a mess, I figured now was as good of a time as any... Here is a picture of the belly at 22 weeks.
Today was our last day of MOPS and we had a wonderful tea & testimony day. It has been such an encouragement getting to know everyone and being able to encourage each other.
And lastly, here is a action shot of our silly monkey!
He is getting closer and closer to actually going all the way over!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today I am so thankful.
I am so thankful for Henry.
Our firstborn.
I am thankful for his sweet spirit, his adorable smile & his contagious laughter.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for giving us Henry.
Henry, I Love You!
I am also thankful for this second baby growing inside of me.
A precious son or daughter.
There is not a day that goes by that we don't think about you, pray for you or thank God for you.
You have already brought us so much joy and it is with great anticipation that we can't wait to meet you!
We Love you, Baby!
To My Mom: Thanks for being a great mom!! I never knew how hard it was until I became a mother almost 17 months ago! Thanks for never giving up on me!
To Melinda: Thanks for being a great mother-in-law and raising such a wonderful son to love & appreciate me!

Sneak Peek...

of

Henry's

soon-to-be

BIG BoY rOOm!

We have got to get going on this room. My oh my, time is flying by! We have a little painting and a lot of organizing and are hoping to get him in his NEW room by June 1st!!

Thursday Mornings are VERY exciting around here...

Why? Because shortly after Henry wakes up on Thursday Mornings a big, loud trash truck comes to pick up the trash and Henry is fascinated by this phenomenon! He can't hardly take his eyes off of such an exciting thing and talks about it for the rest of the morning! ;) We've been out and about lately and there are quite a few construction projects going on around here. Yesterday, after hitting JC Penny's we just sat in the parking lot for a while and Henry was mesmorized with all the construction (and CAT...yippee!!) trucks they were using!

Weekends always go by way too fast! This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the "Daughters of the King" mother/daughter fashion show at church to go towards the Honduras mission trip. Me and my friend Tate were in charge of hosting a table. Friday night we went and set up for the event. Every table had a theme and we had the MOPS 2010-2011 theme "Momology: The Art & Science of Mothering". We had alot of fun with the theme and I had little test tubes filled with nerds for gifts and we painted a couple of canvases, etc. Thanks to a little bit of my husband's chemical engineer stuff, we were set on the science end too! Our table was "fun" but other ladies went ALL out with their tables... gorgeous, fine china and beautiful flower centerpieces! There were over 200 ladies there and the pastors and deacons were our "servers". They did a fantastic job! It was alot of fun and enjoyable to see so many woman enjoying themselves!
Kit & Henry got to go to all the "man" stores in the morning while I was at church...you know, Lowe's, Auto Zone, etc?? :)
Saturday evening we ran to Griffin to get Henry's pillow sham for his big boy room monogrammed as they were having a major sale! We ended up staying in Griffin for dinner and Kit took us to a really yummy mexican restaurant him and his co-workers frequent. It was yummy and a good time was had by all!
