Practicing for the BIG day...

If you know Henry very well, you know he LOVES his frog and dog (otherwise known as frog and puppy...I know, how original!). Since we have no baby doll around here, we have been using frog and puppy as "babies" that sleep ALOT and cry too. And, as you can see from the pictures, he is going to be a GREAT BIG BROTHER!

42 years...

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!!

Cookin' with H...

Henry made individual apple crisp for last night's dessert. Here is a little picture tutorial he wanted to share with other toddlers... ;)

First, ask your momma to get you 4 oven safe single serve dishes along with two apples...

After your momma washes the apples, watch her carefully as she takes the peeling off, slices & dices the apples...

It is always a good idea to follow behind your mom making sure she gets all the peeling off the apple...

Next, divide the apple slices into your 4 individual dishes..

Add water and a little cinnamon to each one

Next, in a small bowl mix your oats, flour, brown sugar and butter together...

It's a good idea to taste a sample to make sure everything is going to be yummy...

Next, have your mom add the topping to your dishes and put in a preheated 3 75 degree oven for about 20 minutes (you should stand back because it is HOT & DANGEROUS!)

HOT & DANGEROUS!

Once your mom has put the dishes in the oven, it's fun to watch the progress with the oven light on!

Sometimes helping out & putting dishes away helps the time to pass quickly while waiting!

Ta-Da!

Super cute baby shower!

Yesterday afternoon I was given a small shower by friends through our sunday school and MOPS. It was adorable...all black and white with some green and hot pink accents! The shower was so sweet and quite a suprise since this is baby #2, totally not expected at all. I am so thankful for the friends I have made since moving down here to Georgia (hard to believe it's almost been two years ago!). They are true friends. Thanks Tate and Jessica for all you did to make the shower so special! We have been so blessed!

Dog Park Saturday

We decided to head out to the dog park this morning and let Gisele socialize with all the other dogs.... but, there was only one other dog there (we must be crazy for getting out in the heat! ha!) Notice in the pictures whatever Gisele does, H has to follow! We also went to the kid park but didn't stay long...Henry enjoyed the dog park much better... :)

A little shopping for baby...

..I was so excited to be able to hit the outlets with my mom and sister and get a little shopping done for baby. These items are the first things I bought for the baby...I think it has alot to do with not putting together a nursery and getting it ready (because it's already put together from H) that I feel like we are so behind (when really we are ahead of the game!)
It's AMAZING the difference in selection between the boys side of the store and the girls side! Not only in selection but in fabric, textures. September will still be HOT around here so while the girls side had a nice selection of lightweight fabrics, the boys were almost all heavy and too wintery! I had fun shopping for both genders and love that we will be taking both of these to the hospital as coming home outfits!
Henry also got his little gift for either Baby Boy or Baby Girl and they are ready for him to give the baby... :)

A little catching up to do...

Just wanted to post a few pictures of a fun "pool day" at my cousins while my sister, her kids & my mom were in town. (yes, Aurora, I stole these right off your blog...ha! ;). Henry had SO much fun this day and didn't take a nap until 4 45...unheard of! He had so much fun playing in the pool and watching the big kids, he wasn't about to think of going to sleep! And of course, a couple little mini cupcakes helped too! Thanks Denise for hosting such a fun day!

I didn't get any pictures of my sister with H. That always seems to happen since when she comes in town, I let her take pictures...she does a much better job! I love the last picture of my mom with all the grandkids...soon to be one more!

We had such a great week with my family and thanks to them, we got our garage cleaned and re-organized, table legs sanded and my sister and I were able to paint and do a treatment to give it that antique look! (pictures to come!) Now all the is left is refinishing the top...that's going to take a while...

1 day shy of 34 week appt

This morning I had a doctor's appt and all my stats plus baby's are looking great! It's so hard to believe that I go back in 2 weeks and then it shifts to weekly appts until the baby is born. Today's appt was mainly over how we would like labor/delivery to play out, my thoughts on what I want to do for pain control, etc. Wow, another milestone that tells me that a baby is coming...soon!! ha! :). Henry was going to play with some friends this morning during my appt and Kit was suppose to go to work like normal but, Henry woke up with a fever...I'm pretty sure it's nothing but teeth but didn't want to take a chance of him sharing with friends :). Anyway, Kit was so sweet to come back home and agreed to watch Henry for me this morning since I already rescheduled this appt once before. But, when he came home he said he'd really like to come with me so we decided it would be fun to make a family morning out of it and Kit and Henry got to join me for the appt!
Plus, since I was such a good girl at the appt, I was treated to Steak 'N Shake :)

Maternity Photography Session

So, all our visitors left this morning so I'll starting updating the blog again! We have had so much having visitors, Henry did not like having an empty house after everyone left today. He.was.pitiful. We appreciate everyone who has travelled to see us recently...you have kept us busy and made July fly by!! We have loved it! It's so hard to believe this Sunday is August 1st which means the baby will be making his/her appearance either in August or September!

Boy, is it hot in Georgia right now! whew! We had such a fun maternity session with Tate and I think this might just be the most fun we've had with her yet. Last night we started out at our down town and ended up at a farm. A really, really sweet couple from church allowed us to use their land and it's amazing what you will do to get good pictures :) From getting the cars muddy, to sweating like crazy, walking in tall grass, poop and thinking I was about to be mobbed by ducks, a great time was had by all. At least we had boots on...poor Tate (& Amy) only had their flip flops! :)

The funny thing about these are...I told Tate I didn't want alot of pics...just a couple to hang in the nursery/photo album. HA! We got so many good ones...it's going to be SO hard to choose and there is NO WAY I can only get one or two. The ones I posted are my favorites...there are so many others that are good too but these I LOVE...what do ya'll think?
