Lil' this, Lil' that...

Hope ya'll are enjoying {Sweet} summertime.
This past weekend Kit and Henry went out and had a Day & Night date. I think they BOTH enjoyed going HERE. They even got to see Lawn Mower races and Henry was THRILLED! ha!
While the boys went out, Porter and I also left the house. We did a little shopping and all I kept thinking was...ONE is SO easy! hahaha :)
Sunday night we had the privilege of having Uganadan Thunder at our church which provides pennies for posho (See link with Uganadan Thunder). They were amazing! Kit & I ran the sound and video like we do alot of Sunday nights and they had cancelled toddler nursery that night so the kids would go in the sanctuary. Since H didn't have anyone to sit with, Ms. Donna (his teacher) volunteered but she also got a couple other kids who parents were serving so Henry ended up sitting with the Youth group (Ms. Donna still supervising). I was a nervous wreck that he'd be out of control but no, he was, of course, perfect. You know if he was sitting with us he probably would have acted up but for the 15 year old (we love you, Brandon!), he was perfect! ha! I'd rather it be that way than for him to be awful with others, i guess :)
Worship for these children is a full body expression and it was amazing to see their enthusiasm for our Savior!!
I tell ya what, I closed my eyes and Porter grew up. Last week he wasn't doing a whole lot and over the weekend he decided to drink from a cup, drink out of his fruit pouches, eat with his fingers, pull up to standing and not only that but is now...cruising the furniture. Uh, slow down little buddy!! :)
Here he was last night before our run...he did NOT like being on the wrong side of the window!
This was cute.  Kit was trimming bushes and using the extra large shears. To Henry, they just looked like extra large pliers so he ran inside and got his from his tool box! too cute!

Last week I called my mom and said, I think there is something wrong with Henry...she said, "ut oh, what's wrong?" I said, well, for some reason, the only thing that will come out of his mouth for the last two days is NO! ha! He sure learned that and so that's his answer to most things lately...lovely... :)

A couple cute things Henry has said lately...

Me: Who is your brother?
H: Porter.
Me: What's his name?
H: Porter Cad-wall-errr
Me: Porter Cadwallader? Do you remember his middle name?
H: Porter Cryin'
Me: you mean Porter Ryan?
H: oh yeah, Porter Whinin'
haha

(I quickly threw together an olive oil dip for our bread with supper the other night)
Me: Whatcha want, H? You look like your trying to find something...
H: Where did dat all-kinds-of-oil go?
Me: You mean olive oil?
H: Yup, all kinds of oil!

This is some serious 'guy' humor
H likes to let us know if he has went "toot-toot" so one night Kit said, You are a tootin' machine. Somehow H has lengthened it so if he does go toot he looks at your laughing and says, "I'm a tootin-time-machine!" lol!!

He is all sorts of growing up on us!! He says, "May I be excused, ma'am/sir" from the table and will carry his plate to the sink. It's adorable and after I come out of the bathroom from getting ready, whether it's a tank top and shorts or all fancied up he says, "Ooooooohhhh, Momma!! You are soooooo pretty!!!" "You look pretty cute!" haha!

Father's Day weekend

Hope everyone had a great {Father's Day} weekend!! We sure enjoyed taking this weekend slow and enjoying it!

Here is a pic of the four of us waiting for dinner last night. Porter had no clue what was going on, Henry knew very well what was going on and chose not to participate...oh my!

Kit is such a good father {We say PoPpa around here!} He's incredible.
Saturday morning we got up and had a relaxing and charming morning out. We drove over to this cute little town...remember when we first went there? I was pregnant with H! Saturday we walked in with TWO boys...fun, fun

Henry LOVES muffins because he thinks they are just like cupcakes...He devoured his ginormous blueberry muffin :)
Me & P
Senoia's main street is lines with the cutest little antique/boutique shops. {love}
very true! :)
cute!!
Hope everyone has a great Monday!

It's VBS week!!!!

It's Vacation Bible School this week and we have had a really awesome two days! Henry is still technically in the "nursery" since I'm working it (so Excited NEXT year he can attend!!) but they are still doing crafts, games and coming in for some of the songs so he thinks he's attending and every night and all morning he runs around the house chanting..."VBS...but he doesn't pronunciate the 'V' very well so it sounds like we LOVE the public broadcasting system (which we do but not THAT much! haha) b/c it sounds more like "P-B-S! P-B-S! P-B-S!" bahahaha :)
Porter is still his normal charming self and it's only him and one other little boy in the "bed babies" room (Lindsay...at your church do they call the little ones "bed babies"??) so the little old ladies are LOVING their time with the boys. I don't think they put either him or Aidan down on Monday and instead rocked them the whole time! ha!
Our theme this year is ....
My group is ALL girls and I am LOVING me some girl time this week! :)
Today was our highest attendace of the two days so far and the record was 536!! Seriously, it's AmAzIng b/c we don't really live it that big of a town...that's a HUGE number for around here!!
My friend Tate took these with her phone from up in the sound booth. Pretty amazing and not all the crews were in their seats yet!!

And here is a couple fun pics of the boys....
We've been enjoying the outdoors more in the evening when it's cooler and Henry is a beast on the slides and "racing" me back home. It's alot of fun and he's looking a little too grown up in this picture! He was d.i.r.t.y. after this night!!

And this...well....this is our little character, Porter!! He had a little bed head going on before church and before we did the "comb over" Kit thought he'd give him a new "look"...he thought he was HiLaRiOuS!! :)

Have a great week!!!

Comparison: 9 months

Wordless Wednesday

Porter Appointment & Building Towers

Porter had a great 9month appointment yesterday! So thankful for another healthy boy! Not that we are concerned with Porter at all but we and the doctor feel the same way...that Porter is very intelligent but also laid back and content. So while he could be crawling by now, he is content to army crawl. It will come when he is ready!
Weight: 21# 8 ounces
Length: 28 3/4 inches

The boys are about the same in comparison if you look back HERE with Porter being just a bit heavier and about an inch longer in length. I love how much they play together these days and can't wait to continue watch them become best friends!
Yesterday after our appointment and after running errands, we came home for lunch and had a little time before naps. Henry built this all on his own and rather enjoyed that it "was taller than Nenry!". Good job, H!

{9 Months}.

Well, I know this is a day late but Sundays are just really busy for us....
Porter- 9 months?! You've been on the outside as long as you were on the inside!!
CraZy to think about..!!
You are still pretty much a happy-go-lucky little boy.
It doesn't take much to get you to smile.
You will laugh at just about anything and especially when it's from your brother...
You have your 9 month well check tomorrow! Of course, we've been in and out of the doctor alot lately with you but it's still fun to go when it's a "well visit"!! You hover around 12-18 month clothes. You are in size 4 diaper.
I took these pictures in your room...Notice the big bulky thing off to the left? That's our extra large humidifier we had for the whole house but well, it seems to be yours since you really can't seem to sleep well with out it! And, notice our "hillbilly" crib elevator on the right? Yes, that's extra scraps of wood. Have a feeling you will need to sleep elevated until....well...you start using a pillow! ;)

You are calm...for the most part. Lately you know you can get what you want if you pull the "my brother just hit me or ripped a toy out of my hand". Then, you laugh with excitement...oh my! We are in trouble!
Yesterday, in between church, we got you a new car seat. Still rear facing but a convertible one. Oh. My. You are really intimidating Henry. He has always had "BiG bOy" car seat so he had LOTS of questions on the way home making sure he was still the "BIg BoY"...haha :)
You still just have two bottom teeth but I'm wondering if you are starting to work on some more! You love frozen go gurt in your mesh teether...
You make the funniest faces! Just love them! You still sleep great. You are still doing the army crawl but we are most impressed that you can do real "push ups!". You are starting to pull up and want to stand all.the.time.
You just started to not want your bottle alot of are not fond of being spoon fed...you want to do it all on your own!
Mr. Independent...
We love you, Porter and you are a true treasure.
I would do anything for you and Henry!!

It's been a while...

Here's just a few pictures of what we've been up to! (I know they are poor quality...still looking into the camera situation! :/)

We went to a little mom and pop mexican restaurant for dinner and Henry LOVED it. Even enjoyed the salsa (I thought it was a little spicy!!)
Porter. Sweet Porter. He's better...I think. Finally done with breathing treatments (YAY! I get some time back! That was VERY time consuming!!) He has his 9 month check next week and I'm hoping we don't have to return before then!!
Speaking of the pediatricians office....it's so cute. Every room has a "theme" instead of a number and the last time we were there I snagged this pic of the "farm room"...cute...no?! :)
Saw this at the Geranium Festival and really think I could make it. Thinking chocolate brown to go in Porter's room?! Too cute!

I know it's hard to see but these are called inchbugs. This should help solve the sharing of cups at church :)
And this beauty...Henry did this...isn't the owl beautiful?! It was a favor from his friend Fischer's party. He did a great job painting it! :)

Cute & Cute!!

I originally sat down at the computer to post a video of a giggly H & P at bathtime last night but it's giving me troubles so I'll have to ask Kit about it later...
I posted these on FB but thought I'd still share who those who didn't see. Seriously, we have the cutest little boys!! :)

We're Back {Lots of Pictures} and Porter Update

Hey y'all!! We are back and this post is all sorts of crazy unorganized. Probably almost all of you already know my sister's blog but for lots of pictures of our time visiting them just click HERE. Really all these pictures are hers :). Thanks, Amy!
I don't have time to do daily posts/pics so I'll just do a simple review...
Alot of dreams came true for Henry. He got to do almost all modes of transporation! Between the shuttle bus, train in the airport, airplane and boat ride, he was thrilled and was very good for all those experiences. So impressed with him on the airplane!
How cute is this one piece suit from the Warrix family? Thank You!!
Here the best picture we got after 150+ pictures....Happy Mother's Day, Mom!!
This picture make me smile. Henry is looking so much like BiG BoY lately!! Love it!

My boys together on Mother's Day!
 Cutie Porter
We took a tour of the riverwalk and Henry LOVED it! It was about 30 minutes long and both boys did excellent!!
Here is the "meltdown" during the photo shoot. This picture still makes me laugh out loud!
Porter at the Alamo. He is SUCH a good, laid back baby!!
Henry warmed up to the pool and we were surprised how fearless he was jumping off the side with Kit catching him. This is a big step for "Mr. Safety" Henry!
Both times on the plane Porter took a bottle and fell asleep during take off.
Henry didn't sleep very well in Tx. And his attitude showed it most days that he was just. Exhausted. We gave him the window seat on the plane ride home and he did AWESOME, never making a peep.  This was taken before we left the parking lot at the airport!
So...Poor Porter. He is SUCH a good baby! About two nights before we came back home Porter was coughing in the middle of the night. He is already much more of a "snorty" baby. He seems to always be congested (sorry bud for getting my sinuses!!). Felt so bad for him. No fever, no screaming fits, eating well, smiling, happy baby! During the day he was happy and his normal laid back self. I was wondering about the possibility of ear infections (both boys have never had any so I didn't know what to look for). Long story short...took him yesterday morning after getting back the night before. One ear infection in Right and start of one in the left and he tested positive for RSV. So, we are getting back into our routine and a "new routine" on meds and nebulizer tx for the next 10 days. He is still such a trooper. Sleeping well and his happy normal self. Wouldn't have guessed AT ALL! We are supposed to be busy all weekend with birthday parties, tea fundraiser at church, nursery Sunday AM and a performance by H Sunday night so that throws a wrench in the plans. Kit & I will have to trade off all weekend but we'll get it done! We just want you better, Porter!!
Last night Henry and I made a chocolate cake after supper. Let's just say it was bath time after that! ;)

So, that's it. We are back and are so thankful for the sweet hospitality we had from the Wx family!! It was SO great to see you guys and spend time with you!!!!
Miss you all already!!
