Tunnel Play.

Henry LOVES tunnels.
He is quick to point out to you what makes a tunnel....he plays with the empty paper towel rolls and pushes his cars through..."look momma...tunnel!" He loves the empty wrapping paper rolls too, pushes things under the couch, ottoman...TUNNEL...TUNNEL!! So...after running a couple errands, playing outside and right after lunch...we had some time to kill before nap time. I got a few blankets out and we covered half the dining room table. H's eyes lit up! TUNNEL!! Before long, all his cars, tractors & trash trucks were under there too. But one thing was missing...his momma. I'm enjoying the fact that right now I am still really cool in his eyes and he picked me to play with him and wanted me to take our picture together. Thanks, H!
So here is a picture of us to document a sweet moment...playing under the dining room table :)

Weekend Recap and Random Phone Pics

My goodness! We had SUCH a fun weekend! We started Friday with Family Night at Chic Fil A and used coupons we got from Mamaw {Thank you, Mamaw!!} for free ice dreams :) then H played in the play place and we left with a balloon...Henry was over the moon with excitement...Saturday we ran errands, I worked on a little project {that I'll have to take a pic of sometime!!}, grilled out and took the boys on a nice long walk in their red wagon {Thanks again, Granny!!}
Sunday we had the privilege of filling in for another couple who was out of town and taught the 11th grade Sunday school hour. Two things: 1. It was super fun 2. We felt really old! LOL :). Then after church it was home, lunch & naps for the boys...{all the boys...;)} while I anticipated "The call" to find out whether we were going to have a nephew or a niece coming in July!! It's a BOY!! Rutledge James...super cute. Henry says "wutwidge"...it's adorable... :)
Then, I ran to Publix and got a Chocolate Cream Pie because my friend Jessica came over to watch the Amazing Race {It started last night!!} and we just had to have something yummy to eat and i didn't have time to make anything. We had alot of fun...she's never watched the show before and it's probably the one reality show Kit and I really enjoy! We ended up talking WAY too late..*yawn* and before I knew it Monday was here. :)
This morning was different for us because usually we don't go anywhere on Mondays but today we went to the church for a birthday party...it was so cute...Dr. Seuss theme...Brandy, the mom, is very talented when it comes to party stuff...it was a hit! They had "spin art" as one of the favors where a wheel spins the paper and the kids got to pick what colors they wanted to pour in..ya'll know what I am talking about...right? Henry stood there for the entire 2 hours we were there watching. He did his art and then stood beside Mr. Donovan and just watched in amazement{again, I'll have to post a picture}...made a HUGE impression on him!
I'll close with lots of random pics that are off of Kit's phone...my boys are growing up!

Right after we got the phone...maybe in August?!
I remember this for sure...the Friday before Porter was born. I was having cx in Steak 'N Shake...not so fun.

Right after Porter was born....I think maybe 9 days old...we ran to the outlets with mom...

Doesn't get much cuter than this, folks!

Stealin' a smooch

Yes, there is a Henry in there...can you find him?! ;)

Shopping at the Ravens Roost. I still think about this bench....alot.
But, no room to bring it back with us:(

24 weeks

Porter...you have now made it easy on your momma! You and Henry wear the same size diaper now... size 4 :)
So far you have tried Green Beans {I'm going to say your favorite}, Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Squash
Just started with fruits: Applesauce & Bananas.
You don't seem to like them like you love your green beans right now!
You still sleep 11-12 hours at night
and take two solid 2 hour naps. You are weaning out the 3rd nap and can do just fine without it.

I'm a fan...

I'm such a fan of this hand soap, I just might check out their other products!
Have you used this before? What did you think?
I found it at Target and it makes the kitchen all lemony-fresh smelling!

GiggLe BoX

P LOVES gettin' in some serious "mirror" time.
He thinks he is hilarious.
I've always seen people do this with their babies and I remember H was NOT impressed. Never cracking a smile.
This dude is such a ham and thinks it's the coolest thing ever!

Valentine's Day

Handmade cards
Me & P.
This time last year we made this announcement to everyone .
We love having you in our little family, Porter!
I'll be honest. I had a boy so I was definately leaning towards thinking I "needed a girl". Afterall, that is what society likes to tell you!
One of each.
But the fact of the matter is, I didn't.
I needed Porter and I didn't even know it.
I'm so glad that God gives us exactly. what. we. need. when. we. need. it!!!
I LOVE being a mom to TWO boys and consider it an honor!!!
Me & H.
What can I say...Butterfly {gasp!} kisses are sometimes the best.
Me & Kit.
Goodness...I met him when I was what...14?!
I love this man!!!
This cracks me up...what a blessed but crazy stage of life we are in!
:)
It was a hectic day for both me & Kit. So if we all look exhausted in these pictures...it's because we were!
The highlight for sure was sitting down at the table for supper being together and enjoying conversation.
That's probably my favorite time of day...everyday!
Roses & chocolates were just icing on the cake :)

Valentine's Party

The boys & I had a little Valentine's get together at our house friday with some moms/kids from church & MOPS. The kids decorated Heart shaped cookies and then enjoyed the morning playing and us moms enjoyed talking and eating yummy snacks!! I never even thought about getting out my camera but thankfully my friend Tate took a few pictures of some of the kiddos decorating...

And look at this cutie...he was mesmorized with all the action going on in our house!! :)

Kitchen {Before} & {After}

So, I'm always nervous posting before & afters.
Some probably like the before better than the after & some probably think we are crazy for always doing little projects.
I like posting these for our moms to see and if anyone else enjoys it, that's a plus.
All I can say is I think I'm finally finding a way to decorate that says "us".
Nothing fancy but just a little hint of pretty.
Never fussy.
Always simple.
So...we had red for a while and I love it but wanted the whole house to flow since it is all open..
then this summer my choice of "gray" looked country blue. not a fan.

{After}
To be honest, this gray is so hard to tell in pictures. I like. not sure I love it. I LOVE the dining room so I might paint it that color some day but honestly, I LOVE the beadboard backsplash so unless I'm looking up, I don't see the color and so for now, it's just fine. It's hard to love a kitchen when you move in and it's not your style but not damaged enough to see it worthwhile to completely redo. So, I saw a blog where she did this and instantly fell in love. I really like my kitchen now! It's simple. It's us.

A rug. In the kitchen. warms it right up and feels so home-y. It's an outdoor rug so we'll just spray it down outside when it gets dirty. Love.
My husband is awesome. Super handy. Always willing. Without complaint.
Thanks, babe!!!
I'd like to do a more detailed dining room post sometime because he rocked it with those shelves!!...
