The nursery took a lot of time but we are so happy to say it's finished! Well, still have some stuff to do like trim on the curtains and adding decor with her name and such but...I'll let the pictures do the talking!! :)

Porter's Birthday Week in pictures!

So last Thursday on Porter's Birthday he woke up to balloons!!! Something he'd been requesting for about a month....He was over the moon! 

Since we had to get Henry to preschool and were leaving for San Antonio in the afternoon, we let him open one present in the morning...a gift from Henry! 

 He has wanted binoculars FOREVER!! :) 

 After we dropped H off at school, we got a little birthday breakfast treat...donuts!! :) 

 After donuts he said he wanted to go on a little "adventure" (walk to the playground) so that's what we did!

Stopped at watched for turtles on our way! 

 When we got to San Antonio it was late and he was still just so excited to see his cousins that we let him open one other gift....the one from Wells. 

Then on Friday when all the cousins got home from school we had a "pool party" and then opened presents and had cake. He was OVER THE MOON when we sang to him. So so cute!!

Then, when we came back home on Sunday night he had cards waiting for him and has gotten a package every day. He is heaven getting a little something everyday. He says turning 3 is his favorite!! :) 

After getting back in town we still needed to give him our gift. Kit picked it up on the way home from work and the boys were SO excited to see what it was....

I think he definitely had a great 3rd birthday!! :) 

35 weeks!

Yesterday I had my 34 week appt (at 35 weeks). We got to have another ultrasound and the little lady is getting some cheeks on her!! HR was 150 and what else can I say? ultrasounds are amazing! I could just stare at her perfect 4 chambers of the heart beat all day! She kept her hands mostly up near her face the whole time except once when she reached down to grab her toes. Melt me!! :)



She weighed 4 pounds 13 ounces yesterday and is getting awfully squished! :). I can't believe we are getting so close and will now start weekly appointments! Here is a comparison of the 4. Henry & baby girl are at 35 weeks and Porter & Wells were at 28/29 weeks.



I have done a horrible job of taking pictures this pregnancy. Maybe it's because this has not been the easiest pregnancy for me? Either way...I am really trying to soak up these last few weeks!

I'm large & in charge :).

I will have to take pictures of the nursery and post them soon...it has turned out oh so sweet! This might be one of my favorite pieces in the nursery. It just turned out so sweet & girly.



I owe a HUGE thanks to my friend Lindsay for hooking me up with some baby girl clothes! I'm so excited and a LOT less stressed to have her drawers filled up :). YAY...thanks so much girl!!!! :) Here are a few pieces I've picked up too...so cute! There are WAY more choices for baby girls than baby boys...that is a fact!

Next post will have to be Porter's birthday fun & quick trip to San Antonio! 

Porter is {THREE}!!

Oh.... Porter Ryan, Pman, Porter pie, sweet P, pecan porter, Poe, chicken little, how are you THREE?

Hard to believe all we've experienced since you joined our family! You told me the other day how much you LOVE Texas. I think the days of going to the pool won you over ;).

Porter, I'm not sure can have a bad day. You are always giggling over something!! You absolutely love going to class at church and always find a new friend on the playground! Not to mention you always seem to say something REALLY loud & funny to get everyone's attention while shopping! You and Henry tell each other all the time you are each others best friends. Somedays you are best friends...others...oh my. You are starting to enjoy Wells more. ESP since he can play a good game of throwing the ball back and forth and tag.

We look forward to how you will grow this year as we give you more responsibility around the house. I can't wait to see you with your little sister...I know you'll be great.

You wear a 3T, size 7-8 shoe and love sleeping with your puppy & bear.

You are the messiest child I've ever been around. No joke. We are working on it but dirt seems to always find you ;) you have the BEST imagination and are always going on an adventure!!!

We love you, sweet P! So glad you are in our family!!!

Henry's First Day Pre-K

"camping" weekend!

The boys have been asking to camp all summer. Well...summertime is not the time to go camping...especially with the Texas heat! So...on the last weekend before Henry starts preschool we decided to make their wishes come true! We sat up the tent in the playroom and they were SO excited. Henry kept saying, "This is SO awesome...the best day ever!!" We thought we'd make it even more "realistic" by playing cricket noises with our iphones but that pretty much freaked them out! lol!! Porter looked as stiff as a board with eyes as big as half dollars. I asked him what was wrong and he said..."I think that noise makes me scared." SOoooo...we turned that off and they did go right to sleep but were up promptly at 6:30 am! Oh my....

AND...8 months pregnant is not the time to go camping...whether indoors or out! ha! 

But...we all had fun, would do it over again in a heartbeat and next time will have to try outdoors :). 

Wells did not like being told to lay down for a picture. He is giving me the stink face!

We even made s'mores over our "camp fire" haha!! :) Which for future reference...H&P did not like the s'mores :)
