The boys are at such a fun stage right now. They are silly, eager to learn, full of energy & want to be just like their poppa. He is a "SUPERGUY" at our house! ;). So when he started going to the shooting range, the boys were inspired. So we made our own shooting range Friday night with nerf dart guns and Legos for targets. Henry proved to be a good aim and Porter decided to be our little "runner" and pick up the darts and reset the targets. It was so fun. Sometimes I could choose to be on the sidelines but it's always better to join in on the fun. I'm glad I did it. I don't ever want to stop being involved.
What else is he still talking about?
The marshmallow fight. Kit was out of town last week and decided to do something fun to welcome him home. We all needed a good laugh and just enjoy each other.
We watched out of H's window for a good 20 minutes, waiting to see Kit's headlights driving up the hill. All the while two giggly boys kept making sure I was for real. "can we really throw marshmallows at poppa?"
They were WIRED & silly. When the truck shut off after it rolled up the hill, their faces got serious. And nervous. It was time. And with a little timid whisper H said, "this is so fun, momma. You're the best." I melted. It was totally fun and so worth picking up marshmallows for the next 30 minutes after it was all over. :). It's been a little crazy it our house for the past 5 months since Wells arrived. A new baby & my health put our family in "survival" mode. But thankfully that's behind us. I feel good. I feel strong. And I'm loving enjoying my family. When is the last time you just had fun with your family? Turn the TV off, set the phones aside, get down and get giggly. You'll be glad you did!
