3? Already? {A little late}

(All pictures below by Taken by Tate)
Henry-
How on earth are you 3 already? It seemed like just yesterday we were busy moving from Indiana to Georgia and I spent many days driving to Target and back because that's the only place I knew where to go in a new city! :).
We have had such an incredible 36 months with you and thank God for you. There is no one like you, Henry, and there will never be! I tell you all the time that YOU are my MOST FAVORITE HENRY EVER! (Just like Porter is my MOST FAVORITE PORTER EVER! :)
You are quirky. You are silly. You have the sweetest heart.
 You are a helper and a giver. Of course you and your brother have your squabbles but most days you help me with Porter and are eager to do so! You still like me to hold you like a baby and you get the biggest laugh out of that saying that you are not a baby, you are a BIG BOY. True, but you will always be my FIRST baby! :) You are a little comedian most days and say some of the funniest things. You especially can get very giggly at supper replaying all the events of the day to Poppa.
 You have really gotten tall lately! You wear size 3T, are in BIG boy underwear and size 9 shoe. You are definitely our early riser. You sleep from around 8:00 or 8:30p to about 6:00a. That's when you have to get up and go potty. You will go back to sleep but are usually back in our room by 7:45a. When we tell you it's not 8:00 yet, you will go back in your room and play quietly until you see 8:00 on your clock. Best idea teaching you the number 8 on your clock! Ha!
You know your colors, shapes, the alphabet, can recognize most letters and numbers. You love reading books still and coloring is a new joy :)
You love to dance, jump and "race" outside.

You are obsessed with anything with wheels. Trucks, tractors & construction equipment. You could play outside in the dirt for hours. There are always tears when it's time to come inside. You love Gisele and enjoying playing with her. You love helping Poppa in the garage and working with tools. You love your Poppa and definitely want to do everything he does! Sometimes I just like to sit and watch you. I can't believe you are mine! When you were born, I couldn't imagine what you would be like at 3! Now, I wonder what 5, 10 & 16 will be like! I know you will continue to blow me away!
Soon you'll have another notch on your big brother status. I know you'll do great. You love "baby Mater" and talk to him often and give my belly kisses!
I pray for you daily that you would have a passion for Christ & can't wait to see how God uses you for His kingdom. This year we started memorizing scripture together and you've blown us away at how well you've done with it!
So far we've memorized (We are doing an ABC scripture program)
Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Be kind to one another and build each other up."
Psalm 51:10 "Create in my a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."

I love you so much Henry, and hope you know that your momma was your biggest fan.

Love you, Mr. H!
Momma

Getting their paint on...

Henry took his watercolor painting very seriously and can't wait for Kit to come home to show it off!

Porter on the other hand was not amused with finger paints. It took him about 2.5 seconds to show his disgust and demanded a paint brush :).

...because the oven needed a light in it...

(That would be both his lantern & flashlight on and in the oven)

I survived the week! & iPhone pictures...

This is a LONG post of random pictures so I'll be impressed if anyone reads this all the way through!! ha! I'm so glad to that it's FRIDAY and I've almost made it to the weekend :). I am feeling better, it's just that my recovery is much, much slower than I had anticipated but I'm getting there! I can't imagine being on strict bed rest. I have no idea how those women do it. True admiration! I have definitely taken it easy and when I started having contractions on Tuesday, I went from light duty to pretty much only getting off the couch to feed the boys, put them down for naps or break up a big fight! ;).  It's been a week of Kit really stepping up to be Mr. Mom at home. He's gone in late to work after he's gotten the boys breakfast and, come home earlier than usual to get Porter out of his crib (thank goodness that boy will play forever in his crib!!) but Team Cadwallader has done a great job and I'm proud to say we've had a pretty good week all-in-all. Two sweet families brought us dinner and the other nights I've taken 5 minutes in the morning to throw ingredients in the crockpot so dinners have been really easy around here! Okay, onto the most random picture post ever :).

 I don't think I've ever mentioned that we got a new vehicle (well, new to us!) on here? We did. During Christmas break in Indiana. We are loving it and so glad to get a big item checked off the list before baby Mater comes. I can't believe this is the only picture I have but here she is...
Yup, I think I definitely see a purchase of this shirt in my future :)

My purple iPhone case was in need of replacing, so I splurged on this cutie. I love it! And...maybe this is inspiration on baby boy's nursery...?! :)

One cool dude after church :). Henry religiously needs his glasses when we get in the truck, now so does Porter although his don't always seem to stay on very long ;)

 One night a couple weeks ago Henry and Kit "camped" out in the living room. They had a blast and Kit had a sore back the next day ;)
 He was so excited and jumping around all night long that it didn't take him long to fall asleep. And we weren't sure how he'd do but he did stay asleep all night long! :)
 Porter fell in love with this squishy stress ball Coke from the Warrix family and they were so nice to let us bring it home at Christmas. Hardly anything seems to stay picked up in the kitchen but Porter always make sure the coke gets put back in the refrigerator :)
 Last Saturday we made doughnuts and yes were a big hit!! :) Thanks Mamaw & Papaw!
 Mr. Ham. He climbed in the chair all by himself and took Kit's phone and was saying, "cheeeeese!!!"
Rice makes me crazy spilling everywhere and I didn't have dry beans but I did find some coffee beans for H to have a little construction site. Yeah, this is the best smelling dirt pile ever! ;)

A moment of peace and calm in our house. Very sweet!

I just love surprises!! So, you better believe getting floors delivered to my door this morning made my day!!! Thank you so much Kenlyn (& all her boys!!) :). Can't. stop. smiling. ;)

He is as big as...{An ear of corn}

Excuse my "casual appearance" and yes, I do have an arm, it's tucked behind my back :)

I also have a 5 to replace the 4, just ran out of spray paint :/.

And see that box full of Christmas Cards and pictures...what do I do with them? Any fun ideas?! If the arrangement looks different the past couple of weeks it's because I moved the bench to the entry way and the green table to the back door. Just to switch it up...because I can and I enjoy moving things around. It's free and fun to me :)

Hospital Visit

Last week I wasn't feeling well and woke up Wednesday morning thinking I had a stomach bug. So, I started the BRAT (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) diet and it wasn't helping. Without going into too much details, something was wrong.  I called the OB on call just to go over everything on the phone and she suggested we come to the Labor & Delivery at the hospital to make sure baby boy was fine and run some tests. Baby boy looked great on the monitors and in no distress at all. They thought about keeping me overnight but we all decided I'd rest better at home. Long story short, I ended up having a bacterial infection in my intestines. My OB said that normally if you have this it seems like an awful flu bug and doesn't need medication but since I'm pregnant and immune system is low, antibiotics is needed to fully recover. And two doses in, I'm feeling much, much better. The concern with baby boy is preterm labor from being dehydrated so I've done nothing but sit on the couch and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. We appreciate everyone's prayers for the rest of the pregnancy!

Porter is in the kitchen...

Last week Porter and I made these yummy dessert bars while Kit and H were in the garage. Porter thought the mixer was pretty cool!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars
by Greta White

1 (18.25) package plain yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 eggs
1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 Tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup coconut (optional)

Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2) Combine cake mix, melted butter, peanut butter, and eggs in a large bowl using a mixer or spoon. Press this into a 9X13 pan reserving 1 1/2 cup of the mixture to crumble on top.
3) In a small pot, melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and coconut.
4) Spread chocolate mixture over the mixture pressed in the pan and then crumble the 1 1/2 cups of reserved cake mixture on top evenly.
5) Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

16 months/ Tubes recheck

Today we took Porter for his tubes/adenoids recheck and they retested his hearing. He tested normal with his hearing (not that we were concerned) and his ears looked great! We are so thankful Porter made recovery look like a breeze and has not stopped running since his surgery in December. Before his surgery, Porter was only saying momma and hi. Since surgery his vocabulary has taken off and we expect it to only keep widening and advancing.
Porter-
You now say at 16 months:
Momma
Poppa
Dog
Ball
Tractor
Hi
Stuck
Done
Please (more like 'ease')
Thank You (day-do)
Book

You love anything that let's you climb, throw a ball and jump. I find you constantly climbing on chairs, trying to get up on tables and throwing stuff away. Oh, and you just love to flush toilets too ;)

You have finally started making car/tractor noises when playing with them and you and your brother like to lay on your bellies and play with all your cars.

You sleep about 12 1/2 hours every night (8p to 8:30a) and you still take 2 good naps although I know you are getting ready to go down to one.

You are an eater!! My oh my! It's a rare sight to see you turn down food and from what we hear you are good at convincing the nursery workers that you are always starving! ha!

We are planning to do a full switcheroo upstairs with the sleeping arrangements and quite frankly... You make me nervous. I'm not so sure you'll be good at the toddler bed transition. I have dreams of you jumping on the bed and climbing up the curtains! haha. I know you'll get the hang of it, it just make take a while ;).

Love ya Sweet P,
Momma

He is as big as...{Spaghetti Squash}

P-man 15 month well check {a little late}

So, we've been spending lots of time in the doctor's waiting room lately getting {thankfully} well check appts crossed off the list.
Today was Porter's turn and what can I say, the boy is just full of spunk!
We've had to wait 2 hour both times within a week and today the boys were SO good, we got Chic-Fil-A on the way home and Henry requested a picnic with their new table (thanks Memaw & Pepaw!!).
Porter thought he was BIG stuff not confined to a high chair ;)
Today he weighed 25 pounds (50th percentile) and was 33.5" long (86th percentile).

We love you (as Henry says...) Porter P-Man Cadwallader!

Baby Mater...

This morning we went to my 20 week u/s (a little behind at 20w6d). Baby boy is so sweet and active! We love our doctor and love how thorough he is...especially for the 20 week u/s. We started at the top of his head and worked all the way down to his toes. He measures right on track for his due date and we are so very thankful! He weighs approximately 13 ounces right now and just looks so very very sweet. :). And, HE is definitely a HE! ;)
Here are a couple pictures from our ultrasound :)

Thank you, Lord, for a healthy boy!!

{giggles}

Earlier I gave the boys a bath and in normal fashion, when they get out, I usually put lotion in the shape of a smiley face on their tummys and let them rub the lotion all over. Today was the first time they worked as a team and four hands full of lotion ran towards me with sheer giggles and I was outnumbered. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time...and we all smell really good :)

Henry's 3rd Birthday {Tractor Party}

**This post is LONG overdue**.

It was fun to celebrate with family Henry's 3rd birthday while we were in town for the holidays. It's always so busy at the holidays but we found time to have it on Friday night! It was definitely all hands on deck! We had the party at Kit's parents house and kept it simple with pizza, chips & "tractor juice".  Papaw piped "grass" on the cupcakes and  we set them inside the fence Kit and my dad built before the party out of popsicle sticks. My mom made the cupcakes in record time since I was tied up at the car lot. Most of the tractors and decor were actually borrowed from cousin Jaxson so we didn't have to bring toys, and, Aunt Kenlyn & Aunt Amy took pictures for us. Thank you to everyone!! This day was really hectic because this was the day we bought the Expedition. It was crazy! Kit is a pretty tough negotiator and let's just say I think we walked out the door twice before they called us back in and we officially signed the papers. We got there when they first opened because Kit & my Dad had already test drove it the day before. It was a long day haggling with car salesmen so needless to say, we were extremely rushed for the party. Lesson learned :/ but it was still a fun evening once we got the party set up (a little behind schedule).
This was also the night we revealed baby #3 was indeed a BOY! We had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and found out the gender by ourselves. The doctor put the ultrasound pic in an envelope and we enjoyed going out to dinner and finding out together outside the doctor office, just the two of us! We went back and forth whether or not to announce or just keep the secret ourselves. We decided to not do a gender reveal party but instead just surprise everyone at H's party since most of the family was together in one room.

 "grass" cupcakes
 Opening Presents!

 The last present he opened was "from us". Inside a little boy onesie and ultrasound picture revealing baby is a BOY!
 Cousin table!!

 Blowing out his cupcakes
 To Henry, this night was a dream come true and that's all I cared about. He'd been talking about a tractor party for months and the fact we were rushed to throw the party together didn't matter to Henry. There were balloons, cupcakes & tractors. To him, it was the coolest party ever and with all the families together in one house, well, it was the ultimate bash. And that made this momma happy. that he was happy.
The cupcake spread. I thought it turned out adorable!
 This picture cracks me up. Porter and his many faces! ;)
