27

We couldn't help but pick this picture for Josh trying to impersonate a blind african-american musician (or at least that is what we see when we look at this picture!).
Anyway, we wanted to give a shout out to Josh today on his 27th Birthday!! We hope you have a blessed day :).
Josh~just so you know I was going to drop off you present on Tuesday but Kit is holding it for ransom so you'll come to his open house on Sunday!!

Extraordinary

I had a birthday this past Thursday. Some of the highlights for me just had to be posted! The orange purse was given to me by a co-worker. I like orange but wow--this is really loud :).
Also, I was given some bowls that are awesome since they are had painted with my oranges, and golds that I love. My parents gave me candlewick! I absolute love it! I also loved my new scrubs, outfits and I can't wait to break out the labelmaker!

New Changes

As many of you know I have been looking for a simple but elegant black comforter for a "onyx and champagne" bedroom. After several months of looking through all the department stores and online stores I was finding that black was rare...chocolate is the NEW black!
One day after shopping through the "clearance" outlet section at JC Penny's online, I found this and it finally came it this weekend!

Traditions

We put our christmas tree up every year AFTER thanksgiving! We always get a "kissy" picture in front of our decorated tree. This year, however, since Kit is graduating December 17th (yeah!) we only put up a very small tree since we don't know where/when we'll be moving. Here is how our picture turned out this year...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Birthday Boy!

Kit's 24th Birthday was Tuesday! We enjoyed a great dinner with both our parents at Outback Steakhouse and then went to Coldstone creamery for dessert!

Calico

Speaking of cats from my last post, it reminds me of something funny that happened a week or two ago. I went to the office a half day to work since Dr. Wilson was working in Franklin that day. I finished up around 5:30 p.m. I walked out to the Explorer and I had a message on my cell phone so I took the time to listen to it before starting up the truck. I strangely heard, "meow" a couple of times. I thought that was weird but I got out and walked around....I saw no cat. Got back in the explorer and was about to start it up when I heard a terrifying "MEOW!!!!!" "MEOW" "MEOW" so I got back out again. This time I was sure my co-workers were playing a joke or something. I looked around and saw no one. So, I quietly cried, "meow?" I heard, "MEOW!" "MEOW!" right back! So, let me tell you this too, I had dress clothes on. I am looking over my shoulder everytime I said "meow" for fear of people calling the looney bin on me!! I popped the hood of the Explorer...my heart racing. Would I find a cute cat or mangled one in my engine?? I lifted the hood to find the tiniest calico kitten sitting there hissing on me! Then, he quickly wormed his way underneath and all around the Explorer. I thought to myself great! He'll just jump out and run away!
I couldn't be so lucky....the kitten was stuck but everytime I reached my hand down there he was hissing at me. I had my sleeves pushed up and I was talking to my engine like, "Now, now be good! Don't be naughty...oh, that's not nice" when my friend came walking out of the people. She thought I had lost it for sure until I had her look to see for herself :).

This is the absolute funniest part, Kelly was underneath the Explorer and I was standing over top, trying to get this kitten out when I man came walking across the parking lot. I know he was going to be a "good samaritan" helping two women in need of car repair but at that moment as he approached, I was pulling the kitten out and he let out this very girly scream. All I could do was laugh. He said, "what is IT?!?!?!" I was like, it's a kitten...you want it?? Next thing I knew, he was gone. So, I brought him home. Kit loves cats and Grover was so excited...too excited!! We took him out to my parents and their neighbor girl fell in love. I saw him last week and Calico is fat and sassy... :)

Dog or Part Cat?

I was working from home and on the phone with a patient this afternoon when Grover decides to start acting like a cat! Of course, as I am trying to be professional and I can't very well scold my dog while giving a patient their MRI results. :) Snapping of the fingers was pretty much all I could do at that moment so, I took the opportunity to snap a shot!

This time last year

We didn't get to go out last night. But it brought back memories of what Grover was last year!!
A Cowboy :).
Of course he was about 20 pounds lighter too!!

Time Flies by

Alright, to my few and far between readers... I know, I know! It's been a while!! We attempted a weekend in TN. We got there very late Thursday night, woke up Friday and did quite a bit of hiking and Saturday early morning got the call that my mom was in the hospital. She had a gallbladder attack. So, we packed up and headed back to Lafayette. Since my mom had surgery later that weekend, she was unable to watch my sister's children this past weekend. So Aunt Grace and Uncle Kit got to do it! It was alot of fun and they were very good although things just get busy, busy, busy!!
Kit is eagerly anticipating to hear from Rolls-Royce this week or next and also had another job fair today. God knows!

I'll post some pictures of TN...

Wedding Bells...

Well, Congratulations are in order for my brother Zach and his now Fiance, Amber. Last weekend, they got engaged! Congratulations you guys. They plan to be wed sometime in May :)

Happy Fall!

Happy Fall Everyone!
It is definately my favorite time of year!!
I love the crisp air & the changing of leaves. It brings us closer to Thanksgiving which is by far my favorite holiday. Not to mention, everyone is starting to break out and wear my favorite colors now-oranges, browns, greens :). Kit bought me a pumpkin and that sparked the idea to snap a few pictures--enjoy!!

It's been a while

Sorry you haven't gotten any recent posts. As many of you know, I have been dealing with viral meningitis since July and had a second spinal tap last week to relieve pressure off my neck only this time, I had a spinal fluid leak and had to receive not one but two blood patches to fix the problem! But the LORD is GOOD ..."Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you..." My back has healed just fine and I was finally able to return to work one day last week. I am going to try to go all next week--please pray for strength as I still am weak and get worn out easily!
Anyway, Kit did not get the job with GM but obviously that is not what God has in store for us. He has an interview with RollsRoyce this Thursday! We are excited to see what plans God has for us as He is control of our lives and our Faith is in Him!

Please Keep Praying

As some of you may know, this week is the job fair at Purdue for Kit. I am SO excited that he graduates in December!! Anyway, he has met with several big companies regarding his MET major like GM, Honda, Rolls Royce, Eaton, International, etc. Anyway, Kit mostly was told to apply online and they would be following up but today he got a call from GM (Allison Transmission) and he has an interview Friday. Please keep praying for God's will in this fun and exciting time for us! We have been blessed so far and can't wait for what else is in store!
