Six Weeks & Learning Life
PorterYou are six weeks old today!!
You are A.DOR.ABLE!!
I can't stop kissing your sweet little (or Big!) cheeks!
You are filling out nicely and I can't believe how many of your 0-3 mo outfits are snug already :(
You are in a one (won't be long before you are in size two!) diaper.
You are pretty laid back.
Correction:: you are VERY laid back!
You are on a very nice daytime schedule and last night you gave me a very sweet gift... longer sleep!
You woke up at 4 1/2 hr but I was able to get you back to sleep and you ended up doing a six hour stretch!
Thank You, Porter!
You are starting to "talk" to us alot more and we can't get enough of your smiles!
:)

Life with two kids. I recently got an e-mail from someone (you know who you are! ;)) asking if life was going as easy as it looks on the blog. While it has been a much easier transition than I was first thinking, we are no where near having it all together. Which I know no one does.... Some people like to make you think they do but no one has it all together 100% of the time.
We've had our fair share of two boys crying at the same time (and believe me, sometimes I want to join in!), the kitchen not getting cleaned before bed (which drive me CRAZY if it's not done) and I've never seen my floors so filthy.
Last week Kit called like he does everyday at lunch to see how it was going. I told him that I was trying to find joy in having a toddler hanging off my leg while scrubbing toilets because everyone always says it goes by so fast and "you're going to miss it".
There isn't anything like a nice, fresh, clean house...
...Lately though my house seems more dirty, stinky and disorganized.
BUT,
I've come to the realization that I will miss this stage.
That a house can always be cleaned later (by yourself...after bedtime...with no one hanging off of you),
that I'd rather my children remember me playing and teaching them than always be cleaning and folding laundry.
After all, I'll have plenty of time to have a perfectly kept house when they are gone because as we all know,
time really does go by way too fast.
So, here is just a couple "outtakes" of life with two....
All I want is one picture! ha
Welcome to the world of boys, Grace....

Fall Time Fun!
Last Saturday, we headed out to our local Southern Belle Farms to enjoy a great Fall day ( Temp approx 85! ;)). We went after Henry's afternoon nap and didn't leave until about 8 pm. We had such a great family fun afternoon and both boys were excellent! I didn't grab my camera so these were all taken with Kit's phone (sorry for the poor quality!). But anyway, here are a few pictures of our evening.
Henry and I ridin' the cow train!
There were SO many things to do and we sure tried to do them all...from the petting zoo to the corn shooter! :)

BIG Brother Moments
Just wanted to jot down a few things Henry has done to prove he is being a Great BIG Brother! :)
* He is on "pacifier patrol" ALL THE TIME and is so great to help. Many times when I can't even remember where I've laid it last, Henry always knows. If Porter starts crying he will look at me and say, "PACK-a-flyer"? and run and find it. Smarty Pants!
* Life on the go with two proves to never be a dull moment. I've been pumping alot and feeding Porter with a bottle. It goes alot quicker and it's nice at times when we are on the go and that Kit can help feed him, too! Henry has watched us several times "checking" to make sure the milk is not too warm (if we've had to defrost it) and now if I'm in the kitchen getting a bottle ready or vice versa and we ask Henry to go hand the bottle to either Kit and I...he'll put out his wrist, get a drop of milk on his wrist and say, "ready"! hahaha....monkey see, monkey do! ;)

Thanks for coming!
A big thanks to Aunt Amber & Uncle Zach for spending time with us and watching the boys so I could do some shopping & Kit and I could go on a date. It was such a special treat! :)
Thanks
:)
