Just because one gets to....

the other thinks she can too!

Grover has recently found a new hiding place. Kit and I think it's because it has more of that den like feel and he can get away and snooze. He gets under the day bed which is also the room we have our computer in and both dogs usually follow me in whatever room I am in and lay down. Well, Gisele thought she would try it out, too but unfortunately she just doesn't fit... :)
**If you are blowing up the picture of Gisele, I know her lip looks horrible but it actually looks alot better than what it was! At first I think she had a splinter in her lip but after looking and poking around, I really think it was just an ingrown hair! I know it doesn't look very pretty but it's better and she doesn't act like it bothers her at all...

New Microwave

Yeah! I am so thankful for my husband working so hard on this! We ended up getting a great deal on this over the range microwave yesterdat and it's the complimentary piece to the stove so we were thrilled it matches really well. However, it took a long time to get into place last night and I wasn't really any help!
Thank goodness that cruddy old white one is outta here! :)

Monday

Well, I made it through my first Monday. It was rather strange to be home during a week day let alone in a new city, new state. My big accomplishment was getting 6 loads of laundry done, folded, ironed and put away! The dogs and I went on a walk and looked at hospitals and doctor offices. I wanted to make a trip to the post office but forgot they were closed today for Columbus Day. The dogs and I were never so happy to see Kit come home!
After supper we took another walk around the neighborhood and we also had a good laugh seeing Kit mowing our postage stamp lawn with his big 'ol tractor :)

Finishing Touches!

Light up the gas fireplace :).
The entry way with all the clutter cleared out.

Tonight we are finally finished!!! It was all hands on deck to sweep the carpets, dust, mop and put stuff into place. The main floor is well organized and every bedroom is "set up" upstairs. There is a handful of boxes that we need to go through and Kit will need to buy some garage organizers and get that going. But, all in all we are so thankful...this house looks 100 % better than it did just 5 days ago!!!

1/2 bath downstairs

The lighting is a little weird in this picture... :)

This is the last of the paint jobs! I can not tell you how much I appreciate my parents and all their hard work. Like I mentioned previously, my goal was to get the nursery, kitchen and dining room painted so I am so happy to have the music room and 1/2 bath done, too!!

Baby C's Room

Yeah! The Baby's room with the new paint :)

The bedskirt

It was quite the ordeal, but we were able to get the white chair in the room!

I couldn't be any happier with the way this baby bedding turned out. My mom and Granny spent a fair share of time putting it together and although the room has a ways to go before it's "finished" I love the paint color with the bedding. I can't wait to get the curtains, pillow, quilt and matching sheet for the bed and then it be a whole matched set!! :)

Also, I was quite concerned that moving to Georgia I wouldn't have any "fall" but thankfully we have a tulip tree in our backyard!

Yeah! Last night our little bug arrived--safe and sound!

This morning my parents made an offer I couldn't refuse and offered to paint the "sitting room" and 1/2 bath on the first floor so all the rooms will have a fresh coat of paint. It didn't take me long to decide which colors to use and after a quick trip back to Lowe's they are already busy working. I'll have to post those pictures as we go along. Once the baby bedding gets ironed, I'll have to post a picture of the nursery color. It turned out really good!!!!
One glitch is that we can only put one couch in the family room so instead of having our office downstairs with the piano we have turned it into the sitting room complete with a white chair, couch and piano. Then, one guest room has the day bed and office combined leaving one room just for guests :).

Thursday

Before Dining Room

After

Last night I found my box of fall decorations and was able to decorate our mantle and put my fall garland on the banisters upstairs.

Ok, so today has been painting day which means, I haven't been allowed to touch a roller so that has given me time to update this blog! My dad and mom painted the dining room, Kit and my mom painted the nursery and right now it's a three tag team on the kitchen. I have gone through a few more boxes but we pretty much just have the office, and family room boxes (dvds, games, etc)

Tuesday and Wednesday...

Tuesday the movers came and it was an absolutely beautiful day. They came about 11 am and left by 3 30 pm. All went well and we were only left with a house packed full of boxes! My parents have been so much help that we were able to get our bedroom, our closet, linen closet, one guest room and kitchen pretty well unpacked. Wednesday morning we ran to Lowe's and bought paint, new door locks, filters, light bulbs, etc and came home to work on boxes some more. By last night the kitchen became well organized and the living room a little more recognizable. I can't believe I am posting pictures of such a messy house but we do want to keep friends and family in the loop so here goes :)

The Nursery--The baby will have a pretty cute view :)

Then, we left....

We headed to Georgia but stopped to see my brother and sister-in-law in southern indiana and made a pit stop for the night at my sister and brother-in-law's. Then, we left Sunday morning with my parents traveling with us. Gisele was less than impressed to ride for the 9 hours but Grover absolutely loved watching all the semi's, laying in the sun and occasionally getting to stick his head out the window when we weren't on the interstate. We only had to do one detour in TN due to an accident but all went well. We stayed in a hotel and the next morning dropped my parents and dogs at my cousin's apartment. My cousin who is also due in December and also relocating to Georgia is closing on her house on Friday! (yeah, Denise!!). Anyway, she was so gracious to offer for everyone to hang out with her while Monday we were busy with the final walk through and closing. Then, after a very long closing we drove to our new house!! Kit had made all the calls last weekend for our Gas, electric, A/C service, Water, etc. but it's amazing how much he had to pull teeth to get all the workers to come turn stuff on. Yeah, we are still waiting for the gas company to come!

Let's Back Track...

Here we are before our last official Sunday at Church me at 25 weeks
