Back Up and Running

Oh to our few and far readers: do not despair! We are back on the internet!! Sorry we had to take a short break but we recently moved out of our apartment and have moved into a house until we close on our house January 31st. This house actually belongs to Shana & Mike, Kit's sister and brother-in-law. We now have internet and finally connected...again! Like I mentioned previously, we close on our January 31st and then will refinshed some hardwood floors and paint and plan to move in the next weekend! God is good ALL the time and ALL the time God is GOOD!! Our inspection on the house was a two-part series as the crawl space had about 8" of water and needed to be pumped out before our inspector could take a look but when he did he saw NO rot and NO mold! The seller is putting in a sump pump--again, Praise the Lord! We are so in awe of how wonderful the process has been!

Decisions, Decisions

We are packing the apartment up and getting quite excited with anticipation! We are hoping to move this weekend but are unsure due to the upcoming weather forecast...it looks to be quite crummy!
Also, we have been staring at paint samples for the past few days and I think we have made some *tenative* decisions. Kit and I are thankful for being able to make these choices and realized how blessed we are! Please continue to pray for us as this looks to be quite the crazy month :).

Above, is Kit & Grover playing around with some our packing boxes and also "just a few" of the paint samples I've collected.

Below, are the colors for the house and the basket from where the color scheme came from :).

OUR SOON TO BE HOUSE!!!

It's been too long

What can I say? There have been so many family get togethers, birthday parties and changes to our lives I don't know where to begin! First I'll start with before Christmas. My husband was so thoughtful to give me princess cut diamond stud earrings as my "graduation" present for helping Kit through school. Then, it was busy and so precious to spend with family for Christmas. I also received more sparkles for Christmas as Kit got me a right hand ring! Another highlight was spending a day at the Antique Mall in Edinburgh and getting a great deal on a Barrister bookcase.
Sunday night was so much fun as we spent welcoming in the New Year with other couples from our church and participating in a "murder mystery dinner".

Graduation Day

KIT GRADUATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday was Kit's graduation and open house.
What a great day filled with accomplishment!
It was great to see family & friends and spend
time giving honor to whom honor is due. Kit also finished out the semester with honors!

27

We couldn't help but pick this picture for Josh trying to impersonate a blind african-american musician (or at least that is what we see when we look at this picture!).
Anyway, we wanted to give a shout out to Josh today on his 27th Birthday!! We hope you have a blessed day :).
Josh~just so you know I was going to drop off you present on Tuesday but Kit is holding it for ransom so you'll come to his open house on Sunday!!

Extraordinary

I had a birthday this past Thursday. Some of the highlights for me just had to be posted! The orange purse was given to me by a co-worker. I like orange but wow--this is really loud :).
Also, I was given some bowls that are awesome since they are had painted with my oranges, and golds that I love. My parents gave me candlewick! I absolute love it! I also loved my new scrubs, outfits and I can't wait to break out the labelmaker!

New Changes

As many of you know I have been looking for a simple but elegant black comforter for a "onyx and champagne" bedroom. After several months of looking through all the department stores and online stores I was finding that black was rare...chocolate is the NEW black!
One day after shopping through the "clearance" outlet section at JC Penny's online, I found this and it finally came it this weekend!

Traditions

We put our christmas tree up every year AFTER thanksgiving! We always get a "kissy" picture in front of our decorated tree. This year, however, since Kit is graduating December 17th (yeah!) we only put up a very small tree since we don't know where/when we'll be moving. Here is how our picture turned out this year...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Birthday Boy!

Kit's 24th Birthday was Tuesday! We enjoyed a great dinner with both our parents at Outback Steakhouse and then went to Coldstone creamery for dessert!

Calico

Speaking of cats from my last post, it reminds me of something funny that happened a week or two ago. I went to the office a half day to work since Dr. Wilson was working in Franklin that day. I finished up around 5:30 p.m. I walked out to the Explorer and I had a message on my cell phone so I took the time to listen to it before starting up the truck. I strangely heard, "meow" a couple of times. I thought that was weird but I got out and walked around....I saw no cat. Got back in the explorer and was about to start it up when I heard a terrifying "MEOW!!!!!" "MEOW" "MEOW" so I got back out again. This time I was sure my co-workers were playing a joke or something. I looked around and saw no one. So, I quietly cried, "meow?" I heard, "MEOW!" "MEOW!" right back! So, let me tell you this too, I had dress clothes on. I am looking over my shoulder everytime I said "meow" for fear of people calling the looney bin on me!! I popped the hood of the Explorer...my heart racing. Would I find a cute cat or mangled one in my engine?? I lifted the hood to find the tiniest calico kitten sitting there hissing on me! Then, he quickly wormed his way underneath and all around the Explorer. I thought to myself great! He'll just jump out and run away!
I couldn't be so lucky....the kitten was stuck but everytime I reached my hand down there he was hissing at me. I had my sleeves pushed up and I was talking to my engine like, "Now, now be good! Don't be naughty...oh, that's not nice" when my friend came walking out of the people. She thought I had lost it for sure until I had her look to see for herself :).

This is the absolute funniest part, Kelly was underneath the Explorer and I was standing over top, trying to get this kitten out when I man came walking across the parking lot. I know he was going to be a "good samaritan" helping two women in need of car repair but at that moment as he approached, I was pulling the kitten out and he let out this very girly scream. All I could do was laugh. He said, "what is IT?!?!?!" I was like, it's a kitten...you want it?? Next thing I knew, he was gone. So, I brought him home. Kit loves cats and Grover was so excited...too excited!! We took him out to my parents and their neighbor girl fell in love. I saw him last week and Calico is fat and sassy... :)

Dog or Part Cat?

I was working from home and on the phone with a patient this afternoon when Grover decides to start acting like a cat! Of course, as I am trying to be professional and I can't very well scold my dog while giving a patient their MRI results. :) Snapping of the fingers was pretty much all I could do at that moment so, I took the opportunity to snap a shot!

This time last year

We didn't get to go out last night. But it brought back memories of what Grover was last year!!
A Cowboy :).
Of course he was about 20 pounds lighter too!!
