What a week

We spent a week off from work to celebrate our anniversary and the last week before Kit started school. This is his final semester!!! We had a great weekend with my family in Ohio until I woke up with the stomach flu :( By that night Kit had it too!! We spent the rest of the week recovering! Anyway, there is a picture of an old mahogny mission style bookcase that was our anniversary present that I absolutely love!! Overall, it was nice to get away from work!

Rest of week

Here are Grover's good friends Lucy & Ethel that up and moved away!!! (Just giving you guys a hard time Lindsay & Troy) He misses them very much. We are going to visit in a few weeks but until then he wanted me to post pictures to show them how many fond memories he has. He is such a ladies man! In the first two pictures the girls are modeling what Grover got them to wear for Christmas so they could be fashionable with the cool weather! I thought I should show you Lindsay & Troy too!

One more semester

Well, Kit received his final grades today and he finished the spring semester well and only has one more to go!!! He is taking the summer off and will start back again in the fall to finish December 17! YEAH!!!!!! We are praying that he will be able to have a job lined up before he graduates!

Transformation

Here are before, during and after pictures of an antique telephone bench that I really liked (even though it was spray painted black) at an antique mall in Ohio. My sister totally took on this project and I thank her for all her hard work of sanding, stripping and staining!

Danes

Doesn't this just make you want to laugh out loud?? Grover is 35 lbs and for a dog that was only suppose to get to approx 16 lbs he has exceeded our expectations! Well, Kit has decided he would LOVE to have a Great Dane. He's been searching and looking on the internet, reading up on them and we have found out that they are wonderful family dogs. This pictures says it all as these two Great Danes were used as the sheep for the church nativity.

Grover Hobbs

Grover is our puggle. Part Pug and Beagle. He has a great nose that usually gets him into trouble! He will be one year old 6/22. Oh what fun Grover has brought to us and also great disappointment at times too! (Eating chapstick never goes over very well) ESPECIALLY in a household that values chapstick so much!!

Good 'Ol Ford

Kit sold his truck! It's pretty sentimental for us. I remember when Kit bought that truck when we were dating. We've had quite a few dates in the truck, taken it camping, went fishing, watched fireworks, went to a drive-in movie theater, as you see in the picture used it to haul many, many loads of wood. It's been a great truck for Kit. Since I've taken a new job and started commuting, we recently bought the vw beetle and have no use for the truck anymore.

God's Grace

And I'm not just talking about me. This past week has been such an amazing difference from the week before. We have been seeing record numbers of people and it surprisingly is going quite smoothly. Please continue to pray for me as I have been on prednisone for my sinuses so that has not only increased my energy but my appetite!
I received an e-mail this morning my Kit's grandma and thought it to be profound.
Good Morning I am God. Today I will be handling all your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, DO NOT attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFJTD [something for Jesus to do] box. It will be addressed in MY time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, DO NOT hold on to it or attempt to remove it. Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem. If it is a situation that you think you are capable of handling, please consult me in prayer to be sure that it is the proper solution. Because I do not sleep nor do I slumber, there is no need for you to lose any sleep. Rest, my child. If you need to contact me, I'm only a prayer away.
As with all good things, please pass this on.
Have a great day, I'm off to Target so I'm assured it will be :)

What a Week

What a week this has been. I have chronic sinus problems and it seems like life is one big snot ball for me. It has been quite a week for me at work, ok it has been an exceptionally hard week for me at work! I have started a new job with a TON more responsibilities. I love helping people and working with people. Anyway I can help people, I want to and that's why I chose the medical field as a profession, I'm a Medical Assistant and I work for a very talented Neurologist. I have just been feeling overwhelmed. I feel like I could use an assistant. I'm nervous because I feel like I know that if I'm stretch too thin, mistakes will occur. I know that God will never ever give us more than we can handle, I know that. I just am struggling to know that I know that this is the absolute perfect job for me right now. If it is, then I am totally ok with it.
Anyway, my husband is amazing. Since I have been so busy commuting and figuring out everything in my job, he has taken on the domestic responsibilities--all of them! I get ready to leave in the morning and he has already scraped the ice off my vehicle so I can leave as soon as possible. Tonight, I walked out of work, feeling very defeated and what do I see? A long stem burnt orange rose (my favorite!) laying across my dashboard! I come home only to see all the work I need to do to our place, already done and a boquet of fresh tulips and burnt orange roses. Kit, you truly are amazing. Thanks for picking up all my slack the past couple of weeks.

Lazy Day

Yesterday we had a great day. Kit took Friday off since he worked all week during his spring break. I have Fridays off except for the occasional phone call. We slept in which was great, drove around, popped in many stores that we never get the chance to go in otherwise. We stopped at Stall and Kessler's, the place we brought our wedding bands to get them cleaned and checked, the people in there are always just so nice. I got a green carnation (for St. Patrick's Day of course!) and put it in our VW Bug vase as we drove around the rest of the day. We stopped at the IGLOO to get a Vanilla Coke then drove on out to Kit's Grandparents to let them see our newly purchased vehicle. They thought the car was great with its low miles and was amazed by the quietness on the road along with the get up and go! We ended up staying there for the rest of the night-we ordered pizza and played marbles! What fun!!! We truly enjoyed it and are blessed by their love for the Lord and each other. Thanks Gma & Gpa C- Happy Anniversary on Sunday!
