We're Home & a Fun Day!

We have arrived back home and are still enjoying Kit's time off together. Today we drove to the ATL and enjoyed the Underground Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola, lunch at the Varsity, a walk through centennial park and a drive around downtown.

If you look down further I also posted a few things from our time in IN. As always it's so busy and I often forgot to turn the camera on but we really enjoyed our time with family and appreciate everyone who opened up their homes to us!! World of Coke!

We were on our way home from ATL and doing well until traffic came to a hault! Fortunately, we were close to an exit and it just happened that Garden Ridge was right off the interstate (lucky for me!!). We decided to take a walk through and wait out the traffic...we really are responsible parents!! ;)

500th Post!!!

Well, I just so happened to look and this is our 500th post!! No doubt about it that the posts have greatly sped up (and I have more readers than just my mom and sister) thanks to our adorable son! Here are a few shots I snapped at my parents one evening...

Good 'ol county fair

If Kit had the money and land...we'd been collecting tractors :)

Of course while we were in town, we HAD to stop in at the county fair! Boy oh boy does that place bring back oodles and oodles of memories for me! I am a huge advocate for the county fair and absolutely love the community outreach and fundraising, young adolescent mentoring, skill development and fellowship! Not to mention that it has been 7 years since I was crowned Miss Tippecanoe County! Holy Moly I feel old!! ;) Anywho, this year I was all about the food. I am pretty sure my sister has the picture of me stuffing me face in a hoagie but who cares about calories when you are at the fair...it's only once a year!

We enjoyed a yummy Q-doba picnic lunch with Josh, Kenlyn & Jaxson. It was alot of fun watching both the big boys and little boys play....and they all played together quite nicely!! ;)

7 months!!

It's hard to believe that 7 months have passed...and so quickly!! Henry is really improving in his speed and accuracy with crawling. He can go from sitting up to crawling with good control and no longer doing face dives. However, he has yet to go from crawling to sitting up and this is when he becomes most frustrated.

Here are a few things about Henry:

*Sleeps from about 8 30p to 8 00a (*except for when we have company!! ;))

*Takes two naps a day

*Eating baby food 3 times a day

*Just started eating small pieces of cheese and cheerios

*Drinks from a cup

*Rolls from tummy to back and back to tummy

*Crawling

*Loves to talk to you and close his eyes while he is "singing"

*Loves bathtime

*Loves the dogs

*Loves the outdoors

*Loves Applejuice

*Loves the Baby Einstein aquarium attached to his crib

*Does not like being strapped into the stroller...wants to always being sitting up instead of reclining

*Does not like sitting in his highchair if he is not eating

*Does not like peas

*Does not like for bathtime to be over

Here's a couple cute pictures of Henry I thought I would share :). Oh and by the way, WE ARE FINISHED painting!!!!!!!!! WAHOO :) :).

He's My Hero!

There is NO WAY I'd be able to climb this 24 foot extension ladder and trim out and roll at the height of our 20 foot ceiling...NO WAY!! But Kit is doing an awesome job and we are getting alot accomplished! The wall with the TV, stairwell, upstairs landing and hallway along with downstairs entry hallway have been completed. Today Kit will start with the wall above the kitchen and I'll work on the wall with the couch and hopefully complete those two today. The only thing left will be the entry way! We were able to make lots of headway this weekend thanks to the help of my sister! It's so much fun to paint with someone else. She did an awesome job trimming and I rolled most of what I could reach without a ladder and in the evening Kit rolled some more too. That was progress we weren't expecting so THANK YOU AMY!!

So, I am stumped and need some decorating advice...how would YOU decorate around a 13 foot mirror on top of your fireplace/mantle?? Any IDEAS? PLEASE let me know!! :)

And...He's OFF!

The knee-knee hand-hand repetition clicked this weekend and Henry has started crawling!! I'm sure it won't be long now until he increases his speed and accuracy!

We haven't been posting recently since we've had company:).

It was so nice for Henry to be able to spend some one on one time with just Mamaw & Papaw for a few days! We appreciate that they drove the long drive to visit with us :). Henry wasn't sure of them at first but quickly warmed right up.

HaPPy BiRtHdAy Gisele!!

It's hard to believe but Gisele is 2 today!

Gisele is truly a "gentle giant". We have enjoyed watching Gisele grow and grow! She is very laid back and pretty much the best dog ever :). She loves to sleep, play hard & sleep some more!! It's hard to believe when we brought her home she was only 12 pounds!
